| I gotta say, this is one of the first times I've listened to a vocal performance with no music and REALLY enjoyed it. You have a great voice! I like those lyrics, too... and you sing with such passion. Excellent! | |
| Personal Jesus - cover by FunkoMatt | 6 months ago |
| The bass track is nice & clean, but there's a slight hiss in the background right before the maracas come in... I'm not sure if it's on the maracas track or the vocal track. You know, it's like "white noise" or something. Since the percussion is so basic, I'd delete that track to fix the problem. Unless it's on the vocal track, which is in very fine form! Done nicely! | |

| A very fine collab! Nice, strong vocals with lots of emotion... and I love that vibrato of yours. Great instrumentation and mix... the stereo panning on the guitar leads is a nice touch. Great job by all three of you! | |

| @Vlazreus Hey, it's good to see you... thanks for the props! The guy you're thinking of in Sabbath is probably Tony Martin, right? The only other one I can think of is Ray Gillen. Anyway, that's a good call... I really like Tony Martin's voice and style. I've got several songs in the works with Eric, but the music is already completed, so I can't tweak the arrangements. Unfortunately, none of those songs are by Ozzy... however, I just posted "Hand Of Doom" on YouTube so you can click my website link if you want to hear that one. I've got a Judas Priest song up there too. Thanks again for the input! |

| Nice heavy track. Cool how you play cello & are into metal... that's a niche that's been gaining popularity in recent years. You said you didn't use a real cello... did you program a virtual instrument or something? I'm clueless when it comes to software. I agree, the bass sounds real sweet & the song is in a nice deep key. Are you looking to add death metal style vocals? Just curious. Very cool stuff! | |
| Lizard Sandwich by pharmakeus | 9 months ago |
| Very cool jam. Those pickups sound great! I like the wah... you achieved a nice clean sounding effect there. You got the delay set perfectly for those panned vocals, too... makes it a nice, trippy psychedelic track. | |
| Overland by pharmakeus | 9 months ago |
| @pharmakeus Thanks for the link... damn, those ARE expensive! Way too much for a novice player like me, lol. I looked at those setups; cool stuff. I remember those "Cort" guitars from back in the day... I never had one, but I picked up a used "Lotus" strat-style guitar for $100 once. The thing had a great locking tremolo on it for the price. | |

| @thedickhickeyband Thanks for the props, we're glad you liked it @morgan102 Good to see you, Morgan... thanks for stopping by @Project__S Thanks for the compliments... all I did was sing it; Eric did most of the "heavy lifting" on this song. Like he mentioned, he actually plays the drum parts with sticks on an electronic drum kit... the guy is amazing. Thanks once again! @pharmakeus Thanks for the props, but nobody sings better than Ronnie James Dio! LOL Eric set the tempo... I'm pretty sure it's the same as the original. The guitar solo might have stood out more if I hadn't made the vocals as loud... Eric did the pre-master so the volume was already set there. Thanks for stopping by, I always like "talking tech" with you! @rickb It's nice to meet you... thanks for stopping by & listening |

| Nice melody & chord progressions... a very catchy tune! I like the "LP record scratch" effect at the beginning, too... it gives it a vintage vibe. Mandolin solo is a nice touch. Enjoyed! | |
| Evil Star by pharmakeus | 10 months ago |
| All right! A slow, heavy blues jam always hits the spot. Those solos with the wah pedal remind me a bit of Jimi Hendrix... absolutely brilliant! The other guitar parts are tasteful & cool with nice reverb... you've got an incredible guitar tone going on throughout the entire song. Tight bass & drums, strong vocals, this one's a winner! | |
| Bad Romance (lady Gaga cover) by Project__S | 10 months ago |
| Man, this is TIGHT! Nice & heavy. I've always loved the song anyway, and you really kicked it up a notch. Can't wait to hear it with vocals. Awesome jam on those instruments! | |
| Shining Star by morgan102 | 10 months ago |
| Hey Morgan, it's good to see you! Very cool how you have a band reunion twice a year. I wish I could do that... unfortunately, one of our members passed away. I'd have to lose weight, too... let me know how you managed to do it, lol! Man, your vocals are incredibly tight and well-focused on that intricate melody line. You've got serious vocal skills, my friend! Excellent! | |
| Mr. Starbright by thedickhickeyband | 10 months ago |
| Nice melodic tune! Plenty of instruments make the mix nice & "thick;" I really like the contrast between the clean acoustic guitar & the full jam when the beat kicks in. The bridge fits well, too. Nice piece of writing! | |

| Nice musical piece with an important message. I've been a fan of Robby_Reverb for a long time; he's a great guy who I've known for several years, and it's good to meet you too. I like the "mood" your musical backing provides... it's very well done. Great work! | |

| Hey Dani, it's good to see you! Looks like you haven't put up a new song over here in quite some time... I heard you were over at MacJams, but I don't have an account there, so I'll hafta catch up with you over here. In "Saturated," I really loved how you started out low, letting your voice "crawl" out of the low notes with all that emotion, and when the highs kicked in, it was a brilliant transition; you have an incredible range & sing with great passion and feeling. I took notice of the stereo panning effects you mentioned with my headphones on... it's a very cool vibe that really hooks the listener in! The second song "You" is a perfect complement to the first, being so opposite. Fantastic job on those multi-layered harmonies; sung VERY tightly and mixed perfectly. Nice, "big" sound and wonderful production values. Excellent job on both songs... two top-notch professional tracks! To say I enjoyed them would be an understatement; I'm totally blown away! Awesome! |

| Do That To Me One More Time - Captain & Tennille (cover) by A1K3M1 | 10 months ago |
| Excellent! This ain't no "run of the mill cover song;" it's a highly imaginitive, innovative, brilliant work of art! I love that musical backing... the flanger effect on the guitar in the intro lends the perfect touch & sets the tone for the rest of the song. A very tight mix topped off with a fantastic vocal performance. Well done, you two! Very nice! | |
| Pales Blues by Deebeesea | 10 months ago |
| Hey Diane! Ooh, yeah... this is a very cool jazzy bluesy performance. It's a great music track & your voice adds plenty of warmth & presence to it. I love those stylish "I saids" that you threw in there, in select places. That keyboard solo is smokin' hot, and your vocals sound fantastic & they're perfectly mixed! Great job by both of you... I dig this one big time! | |
| Overland by pharmakeus | 10 months ago |
| Hey man, good to see you again. This is excellent work... tight musicianship & strong vocals throughout. I'm going to look into those Kinman pickups you mentioned... how much do they sell for? Are they available in black? I've got a MIM Strat that I customized with the "70s style" black pickguard and hardware kit (the pickup covers slide perfectly over the stock white pickups). Last time I was playing it, the hum was really bugging me. I always like corresponding with you because you really know your stuff! Anyway, nice job on the vocals & instruments. Big props goin' out to both of you! Very nice work! | |

| Sounds great, especially for just using a 4-track. Did you bounce many tracks? Anyway, the vocals are solid and you're a master on that guitar. Very impressive soloing... you can really shred, man! I like how the song ended on that major chord, too. Excellent work! | |

| I hadn't heard of that criminal case... you're in the U.K., right? You should see the media frenzy going on here in the USA over the Casey Anthony trial. Crazy stuff. Anyway, this is a very cool piece, and it sends a strong message too. Very well written! Those vocal harmonies are tight as can be, and I loved the acapella part near the end. Great work all around! | |

| Hey Diane! Good to see you over here! This song is really hard to sing... I've always wanted to take it on, but I've been putting it off because there's easier ones I could work on first, lol. I like your rendition a lot! It remains true to the original, yet feels like it was made for a female voice... sounding a bit like Cyndi Lauper might have done in the 80s. You raised the pitch, right? VERY well done by both of you! I love the keyboards & the drum fills. And you sound really cute doing the "no, no, no" parts in the outro as the song fades out. Big props goin' out to you both! Enjoyed! | |

| Black Horse & The Cherry Tree by DaveM | 1 year ago |
| Man, this ROCKS! I gotta agree with Joyce... your rendition is on par with the original. You did an incredible job... your voice is awesome the way you sang those bluesy notes. A nice, tight performance... when the bass kicks in, it's like a kick to the teeth (in a GOOD way)! An excellent, hard-hitting flawless performance! | |

| Oh, yeah... this is an EXCELLENT rendition of a great Eagles classic. I love the slowed tempo arrangement, the "big" sound of those ringing guitar chords, and those vocals & harmonies are fantastic! Cool... a "Led Zep sticker." I was waiting for that part to come up! LOL I wasn't much into the Greatful Dead either (or Black Flag). Hey, how's that Squier Vintage Jazz Bass? It's the one with the maple neck and the block inlays, right? I was looking at those recently... they're pretty inexpensive, and it's a gorgeous looking bass! How's the quality? Is it as good as a Mexican made Fender? I might want to pick one of those up. Thanks! |

| Thanks, everyone... I really appreciate the listens & comments! Eric, you got so much sustain in your guitar, it's like an unstoppable wall of sound. I love it! Thanks again for hooking me up. @DaveM Thanks, man! I love Dokken. I saw them in "Monsters Of Rock" with Van Halen and The Scorpions. As for "Alone Again," Eric is altready swamped with requests! LOL I could sing it for you no problem, but I'd have to use a prerecorded backing track... and they don't allow those here anymore. You know, a (cough) karaoke backing. Are we allowed to SAY that word around here? LOL! I'll stop by later to check out some of your work. And hey, if YOU want to play Alone Again, I'd be happy to collab on it with you! Thanks again! |

You have awesomely rich, full sound going on everywhere... from the instruments to the vocals, paired with thundering drums. I'm a huge metal fan & I love this! What note did you tune down to? Is it a low B? This is a first class, outstanding production all the way through. Excellent! [EDIT]: Oops... just saw your reply to malekey. Looks like I got all the answers regarding the tuning & sound. Once again, fantastic work! |

| Yeah! This rocks, man! Definitely has that Slayer vibe going on, but with better bass playing. I love the tone of the distorted guitars... you cut the mids, right? Just the way I like it... nice & heavy. I thought the drums sounded fine, except for one short fill near the end where the tom toms sounded a little weak. But I loved the double kicks and the cymbals, especially the ride. Awesome job! | |

That BFD program looks cool... can you pick different drum sizes and colors? Although I have no idea how to do drum programming, I might look into getting that program just because it LOOKS cool, lol! Nice "thundering" drum sounds in those breaks, and your vocals sound gritty & powerful. Great use of dynamics! Enjoyed!

| Hey Chris, this is excellent! I love the multiple layered guitar parts... the one on the right channel with the delay really thickens up the track; you did a fantastic job mixing all those parts in perfectly with the stereo panning! I've always liked this song... I'm a metalhead, so I'm most familiar with the Judas Priest version, lol. Thanks again for the help with setting the compressor; I noticed you set it to -21dB in this song. Sometimes I cut it down to -30dB... is that advisable? Thanks... and once again, great work! | |
| When Heaven Comes Down by Mark_Cheetah | 1 year ago |
| Thanks, Joyce! Eric really did a spectacular job on this track, getting the perfect sound just like the original. If I didn't know better, I'd swear George Lynch was the one playing guitar, lol. He even got the DRUMS to sound like the exact same style as the original! Hey, you know more than one Dokken song, don't you? I remember you talking about "Alone Again" once. Thanks for always being there for me (and for hooking me up with Eric)! We appreciate the compliments! | |

| Good Times Bad Times (Led Zeppelin Cover) by Tony2008 | 1 year ago |
| Hey Tony, it's nice to meet you! Man, you kicked butt on this track! I used to play this tune (well actually I used to sing it while the other dudes played it, lol), so I sure know how tough the bass licks and the double kick pedal parts are. Those bass runs are awesome! I especially like the 2nd cutoff run... you got a great, punchy roundwound sound goin' on there! Awesome guitar solo, too! Hey, let me know if you wanna collab on anything... I like your style. Cheers! | |

It's so cool how your son can put together the instrumentals for you. He sounds great on guitar, and you delivered a knockout performance on vocals! Especially the 2nd half of the song, the way it "builds" and you delivered those notes with emotion and power. Excellent job! Hey, I have a new song up, a collab with Nick. | Yeah! Right off the bat, this song "grabs" you with that rhythm. Very cool vocal melody, too. Great work!
| In Your Eyes {Acoustic Cover} by RAVENS | 1 year ago |
| Hi Dani... I haven't seen you in ages! I see you had to add an "S" to the end of your user name... that sucks. Same thing happens to me, and my name isn't even common... I had to go by "MarkCheetah2" on YouTube! Of course, the people who grab the names first are nowhere to be found, so they're not even getting any use out of it. Grr! LOL Anyway, it's been a while since I've heard those great pipes of yours. Those multiple harmony parts you put together are mind-blowingly awesome! Your voice is always so strong, accurate, and full of emotion... I especially like the way you sang the "in" in "I reach out from the INside" differently in different parts of the song. I've always liked this song, and this is a fantastic arrangement & rendition! That dude provided a great guitar backing for your fine vocals. Excellent! |

| Hi there, it's nice to meet you! When Country & Rock collide, a lot of good things can happen... and this is one of them! This is a very nice track... I love those melodic hooks. Great job! -Mark |

| Laid by James (cover) by livelargemusic | 1 year ago |
| Hey there, this is excellent! Nice strength & up-front presence in the guitar & vocals. I'd heard the original version of the song a long time ago, but didn't know the name of it until now. Great work! | |
| Mad World (W/Bjarne) by RubyDubidoux | 1 year ago |
| Hi Elaine, it's nice to meet you! Wow, this is an incredible version of a very cool song. I love the multi-layered vocals mixed in perfectly and those harmonies are smooth as silk! The ending is haunting and very creative. Bravo! -Mark |

| Immigrant Song (Led Zeppelin Cover) by Nick_W | 1 year ago |
| Hi everyone, thanks for checking this one out! Nick, you did a fantastic job... those guitars sound like an unstoppable wall of sound. A nice, tight, full-sounding mix! It was an honor to supply the vocal duties; feel free to call on me again sometime. Cheers! | |
| Mind Of The Wonderful by Cinderella | 1 year ago |
| Hey Cinders, how are you? I haven't seen you in ages! Oooh, look at you... steppin' out of the box like that! I like it! I can't remember the last time I heard you do a dance song... didn't you do "Hella Good" by No Doubt once? Anyway, this one is really cool... I love the additional "sweeping" vocal effects with the panning, and that reverb gives it a nice, "airy" quality. Great job to you both! | |
| He was a Geek with a Guitar by Vixen | 1 year ago |
| Hey Vicki... wow, this is a top-quality sub. I know what you mean about trying to get vocals with the "authentic" Country sound... I think it's something people are born with, lol. In any case, your voice fits in there perfectly; you delivered an emotionally "fun" performance, and you really sold it! A very well-written piece... major kudos to all of those involved! (edit) I love that photo you put up, too! |

| Love Burns From Within by robby_reverb | 1 year ago |
| Hey Rob, it's great to see you here. I agree with Joyce... lots of "power punk" and I love it! The singer you remind me of here is Mick Jones. Great stuff through & through... you're multi-talented! | |
| Truck Bomb by Woden_Thoth | 1 year ago |
| Great stuff! I like the modern feel & that guitar really cranks. Very cool! | |
| You Turn Me On (Original) by Cinderella | 2 years ago |
| Oooh, Cindy... this is fantastic! I'm lovin' the beat & the sultry sound of your voice. Those background harmony voices are superb, mixed in just right. Hey, you never told me your son uses a Boss recorder! Which model is it? I have the BR 1600. Did he actually play the drums, or use the drum machine on the Boss unit? Because I need someone to teach me how to use it, lol! Soundin' great, Cinders... you get top honors! ![]() |

| Hey Vicki! 'Bout time I got around to checking your stuff out... it's good to see you here. Ah, there's that haunting voice I love so much. I really liked when the vocals kicked into stereo. If I may say, you're looking very hot in that photo too. Bravo! | |
| How You Remind Me (cover) by Henno | 2 years ago |
| Very nicely done! I really like the sound & the tone of your voice. Personally, I'm a volume freak & I would've liked to hear the vocals cranked up louder throughout most of the song (tonestones above gave some good info on running the vocals through a compressor/limiter). Those things can be tricky to use, and I'm still figuring out how to use them myself. Great job overall! | |

Hi Amanda... I really like this song, and I've been listening to a lot of different versions of it lately; and I must say, your version ranks at the top! Your voice is suited perfectly for this tune, and the job you did on the mix & effects is perfect. Can you email me a copy? Thanks! ![]() |

| Black Sabbath by Mark_Cheetah | 2 years ago |
| Hey guys! Just letting you know, I didn't play the bass or the drums... all I did was the vocals. The drums & bass were on a prerecorded track I had gotten a hold of. It's funny... I had a strange feeling that one of the strings on the bass was out of tune. If I could go back, I would have rather had Eric lay down the guitar work first, and then sing to HIS parts, rather than the bass. Anyway, Eric... I don't think you had the easy part... I wish I could play like that! ![]() |
