| First off, congrats on a job very very well done, and I salute your taste - I like Metric a lot. Great sounding mix overall, lots of energy and a solid arrangement. The overall energy suits the vocals and original arrangement very well, with your own style mixed in. A few changes I humbly suggest for your consideration: -the higher pitched lead sound (or is it a high hat w lots of reverb?) in the intro that ramps up into the 1st drop could come in a bit more gradually,(and maybe lengthen its duration) it seems to get too hot too fast, I think this would draw out and ramp up the tension a bit more -Increase the length of silence between when the beat cuts out and then back in at the conclusion of the intro, maybe increase to an 8 count while adding some reverb and or delay to that cool metallic ringing fx sound letting it peel out. As it is right now, it feels a bit rushed along. I think this would, again, add some tension and have the listener eagerly awaiting the return of the beat -bring the overall level of the track down a bit after the intro, perhaps consider waiting for a 16 or 32 beat count before adding back in the hat, clap, or some other elements. Or consider lowering volumes of a couple elements and let them build back up as the song progresses, maybe lowpass filter the main bassline and or lead at this point , and slowly sweep the filter upwards to achieve this -add some variation to the hi hat sound -augment the clap pattern -pull those long delay trails on the word "SUN" sun sun sun sun sun..." into the background a bit more, they do seem a bit too prominent Great job, Mannix, and good luck on the contest!
