I Want You (Shes So Heavy) by mikebms 15 days ago
I used the end riff from this on a blues number, if you take a listen, it's right at the end as an outro.

Good job mate.

Like all good studio work, it's done in bars, some two part, some four.
Horns, Loops
Keys, Loops
Synth, Loops
Drums, Loops
Tamb, Loop
Listen to the drum fills, they are my cues smiley

Now ya know.

A good effort Chris., the secret of anything to do with music as far as I'm concerned is THE FEEL.
If you can't find it you'll loose the battle.
BTW our singer on 'my' version was ME smiley
I like to attack a song, own it, wear it, train it to be mine.

I thank you for all the comments you have given over the years, respect.

All the breast.

No loops?.
I find that hard to believe.

I agree with C_Man to a point.

I would add the mix is off, drums need to come up and it needs a bass line, the one with the keys isn't working for me personally.
hey babe (studio version) by j0j0 1 year ago
Thought I'd better come and have a listen mate smiley

Love this, nice harmonies.
Lovely warm sound, great bass work too, hell, nothing not to like here.

I think you have a nice voice, sweet, pure sounding.
The music however is boring, and needs so much more.
Your lyric writing skills are good

I don't know if you wrote the music, but it lacks so much, without playing it 20 or more times to figure out what's missing and what needs replacing I can't tell you what I'm not hearing.

Lets put it this way ... remove the music, and I think your great, first class.

Love your voice
All the Young Dooods (David Bowie Cover) by Baboon 1 year ago
I was in the air force when this band arrived on the scene in the UK, I was into Led Zep at that time, like everyone else smiley
A breath of fresh air Mott the Hoople was, they did it first smiley
The band was found by Mr Bowie, playing some club at the time, not sure of the total history, I'm sure it's on the web somewhere.
Loved it from the first time I heard it and even now when it really comes on the radio I float back to those days.
A good rendition this, vox is very good, guitar work is great too.
Slower than the Hooples version, I've not heard Bowies version, can't help feeling he should have left well enough alone, Hooples version is the classic in the Uk anyway.
Great stuff mate. smiley
Been There and Done That by RedthruNthru 1 year ago
No FX at all on this, i tried to leave it with a live feel.
The only thing I did was to double track the vox and reset the tempo from the original a little faster by about 5bpm, which could explain a phased sound.
No mastering, it is what it is, raw blues rock boogie smiley

Glad you all liked it, we'll do another one day I'm sure.

Nice ... very nice.
You know it's well recorded and a pretty good mix, a little hot, but nothing a good set of speakers can't handle.
Nice playing indeed.

You Turn Me On (Original) by Cinderella 2 years ago
Closer to Rock n Roll or even Rockabilly, not blues that's for sure.
A little bit of distortion in there on bass I think it sounds like.
But ....
I enjoyed it, what ever it is smiley
Under The Sea by 4haengs 2 years ago
You can't sing love, the backing sounds messy.
No feel, nightmare'ish composition.

Had to download it to listen to it ... wish I hadn't.

Give me the tempo and I can work on it.
under the sea (for OPEN COLLAB) by 4haengs 2 years ago
I'm going to need the tempo, the key I can figure out.
Mash Up by whssinger010 2 years ago
I would suggest working with either a metronome or click track.

And .... though this is nicely played it needs more feel and compression.

Don't Fear by DLB 2 years ago
Sounds almost live Dave.
Vox a little weak matey, more balls need for me ... but that's just me.

Not keen on the panning of the drums and instruments, a little too severe for my ears.

Good song mate, towards the end I was reminded of Duran Duran.

Reeves smiley Shhhhh
