Gaaaaaahhhh! Poor Bach.
Un tango para accordeon, orquestra y piano. by maestro_skillz 4 years ago
I hear something reminiscent of the "Habanera" from Bizet's "Carmen" in there..

Very nice. It seems at parts like it is going to launch into some sort of flamenco chord thing, but you retain the beautiful, atmospheric quality of the piece. Good thinking.

Wonderful! It sounds very authentic, and has a fantastic rhythm.

This is a pretty good arrangement, but there are a couple parts where that recorder(?) sounds very strange.

It's great. You're one of the better musicians on here. This piece has a feeling of Danny Elfman to it, and parts remind me of Saint-Saens's "Danse Macabre", but it definitely has your very recognizable style written all over it.

It's a good piece, but your piano playing sounds too heavy in the left hand. If that's what you were going for, that's fine, but I would try to make it a little quieter. The composition itself is very eclectic, sometimes reminding me of Scriabin, sometimes of Chopin, and (maybe this is just me) sometimes of Joplin. Go figure.

eh. the melody is pretty inane, and the Guitar? (never can tell with software instruments) is just strange in parts. Nice vocal work though.

It's a good composition, but I had to give you a three for concept and creativity because it's ALL been done before. You are a very good pianist, however.

Much better than some of your kind of cliched romantic pieces. Excellent rhythms, with surprising changes, and very inventive harmonies. Although I would say it sounds more like chaos than tragedy.

The performance and production of this piece is very good, but the piece itself needs a bit of work in my opinion. The piano and orchestra are not melded together very well in many places, and the piece as a whole is kind of like a repetitive mash of ideas. in other words, it doesn't have a very good flow. However, there is definitely some potential here. put a bit more counterpoint in, or use some exciting, unusual rhythms occasionally. As I said before, it's got some potential.

Very original, and it sounds incredible. I especially like the way you use the brass section and the pizzicato strings to build up tension.

Very good production and performance, but I thought that the piece wasn't really that great or very original.

Excellent. This is one of the better pieces I have come across on this website. And about the Saint-Saens...it's very similar in concept. But it was done so well that I had to give you four stars on that. Another way that it is similar to the Saint-Saens piece are the musical references. In "Fossiles", Saint-Saens's own "Danse Macabre", "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star", and "Clair de Lune"(It's by Lully, not Debussy) are all referenced. The refernces I can pick out in this are "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies", and either "In the Hall of the Mountain King" or "Russian Sailor's Dance";From Gliere's "The Red Poppy"; although, as it is more recognizable, it's probably "In the Hall of the Mountain King."
