bass part gives this number a really eerie quality that i quite like. it's interesting that the voice is used almost like a background instrument. all wailing & bending & weaving in and out of the mix, but it's not quite clear. almost like a ghost who is trying to get a message through to this world. i agree with pharma. nice performance art. smiley

@wakegirlsarah. thanx. i just love her voice. once i stripped all the effects off her vocals in the original track, there was this beautiful sultry vocal track just lying underneath. totally inspiring.

Little Punk Thing Please by mfwmiles 4 months ago
this kinda reminds me of mayer hawthorne a little. the intro is a little rough pitch-wise, but when the verse comes in, your voice really shines. and the bending pitch in your vocals really add to the pleading feeling of the subject matter. i think the story was conveyed brilliantly. both lyrically & in the music. i likey. smiley

love the driving energy of this track... production sounds syntheliciously clear and reminds me of some of those killer 90s dance tracks... which is total raver nostalgia on my part. smiley

and there's something in the arpeggiated synth chords that reminds me (vaguely) of "i'll be watching you"... but waaaay higher energy! fun!

the cool thing about this track though... is that it's also very current... it's not a total retro kinda vibe... i like that... keeps things fresh, y'know?

the addition of the guitar is cool... and as the track progresses... it almost reminds me of savage garden or xtc or even ultra vox...

love the vocals... nice.

i dig the fact that the music pulls from many different sources and genres... it's not easily pinned down to one certain genre... i like that.

nice collab guys... i dig it.

wow... your voice is really pretty. professional quality. flawless production and singing technique.

it's cool that it was written for a television series... it must be an interesting challenge to tailor a piece of music to a certain visual concept... i'm not sure what the tv series was... but it kinda sounds like it might have been a show like "lie to me" or a detective drama... or possibly an evening drama about love and deceit. (it would be interesting to see the actual trailer... now that i've already developed a mental picture...)

anyways... an enjoyable first encounter with your music.
