I am primarily a writer - poetry, fiction, scripts, etc. I have only recently started experimenting with Garageband as a means of making spoken word recordings and pairing them with music, solely using loop constructions. Sometimes I start with a piece of text and work some kind of musical accompaniment around it. But I also have existing musical pieces for which I either match up an existing text or else write a text specifically for it. The one piece I have uploaded onto this site,9/11-24/7, is an example of the latter. My only experience in the music world is as a lyricist. Some of my spoken texts started off as song lyrics.
