What a delightful listen! Tons of style... I think there's a Steely Dan influenced groove simmering here.

Awesome collaboration! Great vocals and some interesting, unexpected transitions with the instruments. This came together beautifully.

I'm back... if only for a moment. The strings are played by hand using the new strings interface on GarageBand for iPad. It's really quite cool. After laying down the initial tracks, I went back and fine-tuned a few notes here and there using GarageBand for OSX. So, no pre-recorded or sequenced loops by others. smiley

I love this. It was only relatively recently that I finally recognized and could appreciate the genius of The Beach Boys and their vocal experimentation and arrangement. Your songs definitely have a connection to the Pet Sounds-era Beach Boys work and I feel so much better knowing there is something very exciting happening now, instead of in retrospect. smiley

By the way, I'd love to hear you and Sammydix join together on something. I think your styles would be very complimentary.

OK, I looked up what this is... and it's definitely not what I used. smiley

I composed this mostly on the iPad using GarageBand, then put the finishing touches on using the OSX (desktop) version of GarageBand. The iPad guitar interface works remarkably well for simulating real guitar strumming, but it is also very limiting compared to a real guitar. I'd love to use a real guitar instead, but I live in a small place with many neighbors, plus I sometimes record after midnight. Ah, well. At least I can still record music when I'm inspired. Almost like having my own studio, but much, much quiter. smiley
