Can't believe i never heard this wonderful song by the Lilies, Coreen and Lilichi. Saw this in the Criminally Overlooked from 2008 by jkane, and i feel criminal for overlooking it. I hope others take a listen as well. And is it possible that the anonymous bass player on this track is from Northampton?

Nice slow shuffle groove. Sounds like a good Mark Knopfler tune. Great instrumentation - tasty guitar licks from Bing, tight drumming (some of the licks have a Charlie Watts feel) and that organ in the back gives the whole piece a rich layering. Love the lyrics, and had you not told us Cees i would have never guessed your voice is on the mend, it sounds fantastic. Well done!

Thanks so much Steve, Maestro. Chris it's always a blast to play music with you. John yes - it takes a global team from East Coast, West Coast, Down Under, and Across the Pond to make a song about little Willamina Oregon, population 1,844.

Those chord progressions at the beginning remind me of Sabbath. Alicia's vocal is haunting. Just a touch of Grace Slick, but overall this is very original, dark, mystical. The middle reminded me of Zep. This feels like a dream, with the past visiting the present.

Can you add the lyrics? I hope this gets a lot of attention on the site. Honestly, i think a version of this with more instrumentation and some heavier sections (drums, electric, etc) would be very cool to develop. (crosses fingers)

Well done et, hoping to make it up to Seattle and hear these live one day. Or bring 'em on down to Portland! Beautiful music, my friend.

This is simply brilliant... songwriting at its best. Michael's lyrics and song structure are a homage to the Beatles, but John's and Michael's performance make it their own. It is a wonderful walk back into the 60's but with a fresh, new feel. Outstanding!

Reflections In Time by jamesjrn 1 year ago
Wow very cool! Am i first to comment? What an honor. I like how this has a deep beat, with a cathedral choir feel, then more of a european, vagabond, carnival feel. Then kind of out of nowhere (spoiler alert!) it really kicks in with almost s military, marching feel. This is a broad mix of sounds, very entertaining and fun to listen to. Nicely done James.
