Its a conscious choice to keep the subject or hook at a minimal level.. repeated over and over.... this means theirs only room for creative answers within the music, to make the piece interesting.. Shakespeare influenced a strange thing for the last 4oo years... Cultural attitudes.. Next to the Bible his is the most influential perspective on society that has been.. Of-course, this is before popular music and the modern communication delivery system... Whats interest here, is listening for 50's style, American big city street corner sing'n attitudes. from teenagers, that decided to skip school, and practice thier music group , inorder to someday make it big.. Im hearing them singing right now.. Im seeing a picture of America in the 1950's.. Because thier is strange overlapping overtones and attitudes of that time coming out.... I think that representing an attitude of a language is much harder to learn then just the language.. cultural attitudes describe the isolation , and thinking process of a group.... and creative unique problem solving solutions that group comes up with in order to survive this world as it is.. and I think Dirigent is describing these cultures, not just thier language.. I can here the common sense from these periods.. And this cant be an easy thing to capture... Interesting dialectical stuff... |

| Enchanting....!! This does not need to get better.... As fare as what one can do in general to develop .... Well... Im in the mood to write, So...!!! , make 10 of these in a series, make 3 or 4 small contrasts of this, representing different sides of a color spectrum... all independent in the same piece ...meaning..!!, a kind of Andy Warhal thing... 4 different colors of the same thing.... in one song.. meaning.. 4 little songs , each a movement of the larger song... Next.. change the ground.. Meaning.. This is figure ground relationship.. The poetess words are the figure... the ground is the style of music... experiment with different styles for background.. and or, find the principle minimalistic constructs of the style.. The few main a abstract points of the style, and use them, and leave everything else out... Leave out the melody, the constant rhythm.... the cultural anchors, everyone expects to here in order to stay safe.... Write your word or poem backwards, then connect everything with confidence.. see if this doesn't bring about a new level of independent thought... But try to convey the same meaning... Use words to create the musical symphonic parts in the background instead of synth, drums, base... Your words at different frequencies will be the new instruments for the background music... use actual musical melody in front as the subject figure... chop the samples up.. creating pauses.. over lap them.. put new sounds in the pauses.. put your chopped voice samples in backwards... speak at low , low frequencies.. by assigning voice clip samples to the keys of a synth... You wont get any dates.. bUt the music will be mighty interesting.. Add Foreign language at times , then come back to english.. All in abstract random form... Create your own language using your own cymbals, and record the whole thing knowing, that now one will have a clue about what is going on... Prey, then... chant to tomato plant , talk to it..love it. flirt with it... see if it communicates to you.. It will ,, You will see Mandika... LOL... interpret what tomato is saying to you.. then write it all with your left hand.. Only getting interpretations from your right hemisphere... Find a coffee can.. Begin to speak through it, and record it... run water through it as your speaking.. Record your voice as water is running in and out of it continuously... Record yourself underwater... I know this is a long shot... Or come up with the same concepts.. Record your voice with so many effects, that your voice is conpletely lost, then take only the highlights, add reverb.. and call it a spoken word.. and see if anyone is deep enough to understand what is really being said... Do a chant to God, breath, relax.. Imagine your 4 years old.. crawl up into a little ball in the corner.. think of all the pain, the world has brought upon you and your people, and mine p let yourself cry.. Then get the microphone up next to you.. hugging it intimately as if it is your only friend.. and scream , Scream like youve never screamed before, and record the screams.. and make that a full peice, with no explination... cry and yell at the world from the bone morrow of your soul... Let'm have it like a German tank-a... and record it all, as you are crying and speaking.. I love this stuff. all synthetic and anti gravity... I think Im upon a space ship,, its all grey inside with these big computer rooms with lots of little lights.... this reminds me of John Cages work.... Very nice 4 part minor progressions.. Nice use of suspension of inner voices to create tension and longing... .. deception is good.... meaning the distance and dissonant intervals that the melody is landing on.... Its somewhat of a leap from interval to interval.. and the listener doesn't really now where they are going to land.. Yet one knows that it all will be tightly in the key center. And this is very good thing.... Its like walking down steps in the dark.. One realizes they have to skip a step.. Put thier foot into the air, and they dont know how far down thier foot will have to travel to get to the next hidden step... They know theirs no step in front of them.. but they are assured that thier is a set of them.. Thier just not sure the distance to the next one.. and this creates panic and excitement and illusion from not knowing.. and this is what this music is heading toward... Mysterious suspence....
