Jam Pack World Music

Will I ever find a good answer to my questions?

Hi everyone,

once again I'm asking to see if anyone has the above? I'm branching out into Soundtrack writing and already have the Symphony Orchestra pack (which I think is ace though I wish it had solo instruments).

If anyone reading this has it, what is it like? are the instruments any good and are there any suitable drum loops that might make my next blockbuster soundtrack shine that little bit brighter?

Let me know if you can

ta for now

I have it and it's one of the better jam packs, IMHO. There are some great drum loops of different flavors. For me, the symphony orchestra and the world music jam packs are the best of what's available (though I have them all nonetheless, through having purchases Logic).

I was also frustrated by the lack of solo instruments in the symphony orchestra but I also have Finale and that has a large segment of the Garritan Symphonic Orchestra in it so I got the solo instruments that way.

Also, check out 'free virtual instruments' online (doing a google search). You'd be amazed what's available.

Last, but not least, do you have all of the free loops which are available through iComp in the members only area? Some of those are AWESOME.

I have it and use it quite religiously. I have all the jam packs and recommend them all. The one thing I find limiting is the number of instruments (loops are great).

If you don't already know about it, check out and

they give away great free stuff but if you want to put up the twenty or thirty dollars you get some really nice loops that I've yet to hear on icomp.
