Out in the Universe by PearDew 9 months ago
I getcha smiley It is a sort of birth too isn't it. I'm actually quite pleased with the mix really. In some of my other tunes I can't seem to get it quite right, but this time I was careful with it. I usually leave the drums too loud.

Love your voice. Really great performance.

Thank-you for listening and commenting smiley It was fun to do, and that NDE thing was so cool. It's like far out man. I think the reason it sounds like a birthing canal, Vixen, is because of my suspect mixing "skills" lol.
The Uneasy Ballad by JackFancy 9 months ago
I really enjoyed this. This is how to make two chords really work. Love the guitar and your voice sounds right at home in this moody song.
Good Enough Man-Demo by LunaBleu 9 months ago
Hi babe. It's so brave to just start the tape and pour this stuff out. It's such an evocative song, and I really want to hear some music behind it to give it the power it deserves.

If I get the time, I will try and get something together, but I'm pretty busy at the moment.

Great stuff smiley

Thanks for your comments everyone. So glad you like it. When I work out how to post up videos and the film's all done I'll try and put it up.
About Face - Time Machine by AngeloA 1 year ago
Great fun. Really direct, and brave for throwing in the different speeds working against each other.

Wow. I can almost see the coloured flashing lights and the strobe.
Turn Around Time by LunaBleu 1 year ago
Economic arrangement with a gorgeous harmonic structure. I wanted to sit and work the chords out. The vocals are breathtaking. Really lovely song :0)

This one gripped me to the end. The varied imagery really delivers the message, and the music is scary and beautiful. Great.
Character Sketch by PearDew 1 year ago
Cheers pharmakeus. I get where you're coming from. I like the moustache feeling you got from it lol. But I can reveal that the character has no moustache. I'm figuring if I can evoke the right sort of feelings without the pictures, when I get the film it will easier. Thanks again for helping me out :0)

Thank-you, Vixen and Jingled for your lovely comments smiley

I used to sit next to the tenor horns in the band. Ahh memories.

Thank-you for your comment, Mosaica. I do agree about the mix, and I might have another go at it.

By the way, when I used to play in slow melody solo contests with my brass band I always used to play Che faro etc. Brings back a few memories smiley)
Won't Wait Another Eon by GaryLester 2 years ago
I really like the vocals and harmonies on this track. I like the fact that it never goes overboard into all out metal. Cool stuff.

Hi Beatle128 and Yankman,

That will be my naturally mumbly voice, and my reluctance to put my vocals up front lol. Glad you like it, and thanks for commenting.

Obviously I want to come across as edgy and hip, but I don't think it's on the cards. It's certainly not deliberate though. On my new iPod (Touch, no less, get me)all I've got on there at the moment is a load of Beatles, a load of Mozart, the Blade Runner soundtrack, Nina Simone and Jane's Addiction. Oh yeah, and I bought the Beatles Songbook app that shows the guitar chords and lyrics for over a hundred songs. It's a wondrous thing. Can't wait to hear some of your Beatlesy stuff.
Morning Dew by pharmakeus 2 years ago

Let Me Tell You Lies by JoeGooch 2 years ago
I really like the mid range piano melody and the strings just before the end section. You lay out the ideas really well. I also hear you are experimenting with new packaging ideas for your album.
Smanie implacabili by Mosaica 2 years ago
I think I would just give up and die if I couldn't listen to Mozart, and it's ever so nice to hear someone interpret it in the way that I think it should be. I am fed up with the all the singers basically singing the words, "Listen, all, to my fabulous technique, and cower before my hideous vibrato".

Beautiful performance smiley

I'll Always Be Your Fool (with Rosalinda) by Naaji 2 years ago
I really enjoyed listening to this. Sensuous voices, very cool jazz, and like a lot of people, the guitar is the cherry on top of this belter. Thanks girls smiley
Ave Maria by MakenaMonk 2 years ago
Bravo, Djev. You have a very tasteful vibrato allied to some nice, clear phrasing and, of course, that beautiful voice. Yes, it's a demo, and yes at times your voice just seems to tense up, but I reckon once you get well again your final recording will soar effortlessly. I've always loved this piece. Really enjoyed listening to it.

Great fat bass, and a really nice feel. And I like the lyrics, being about supposed opposition, but actual unity smiley

Hello carlajpatterson, Djev and Garni.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and post your comments smiley) You're right that the vocals are a bit quiet. Unfortunately I don't have a strong voice like you, Djev, so I end up trying to hide my vocals behind the music. Need to get some collaberations going smiley)
