| That Was Yesterday (A cappella cover) by KissMeKate | 5 months ago |
| It holds together remarkably well considering the lack of instrumentation and it's certainly one of the best vocals I've heard on this site. (The photograph from 'Valley View' doesn't hurt, either.) |

![]() Taking a stab at a Moody Blues classic, eh? Nice. I made a short instrumental version of that with just guitars ... I never released it here, though. I'm a big Moody Blues fan and I need to cover more of their stuff m'self. |

![]() It's got a sort of laid-back old-school New Age sound to it. I like it. I may even listen to this after a short day or a day of indeterminate length. |

| Thanks for the positive feedback. For the record, I recorded a short (1:24) version of 'Nights In White Satin' at the same time as this recording (several years ago). It has three guitar layers but no vocal layers. I have no intention of releasing that one, though. Actually, I'd love to do lots of covers. In keeping with the spirit of this site, however, I'll have to hide them amongst my upcoming originals. |

| Brother by Didier | 2 years ago |
![]() Very creative. The ethereal piano halfway through hints at a new-agey Lyle Mays sound. The harmonic and melodic sense brings to mind devotees of Brian Wilson (Roland Orzabal, for example). I think I'll download this bad mamma jamma. |

| Bach's Prelude No. 1 in C Major by ChristopherAllen | 2 years ago |
![]() Hmm...112? Really? That's how Bach intended it? Oy vey. I've never heard it played like this, whether by itself or as the basis for the Bach-Gounod 'Ave Maria'. I'm not a pianist, mind you (although I've fumbled through the first few measures of this one myself), but I think I'm partial to the slower version. One thing's for certain: you can't go wrong covering Papa Bach. You've done a nice performance at this speed. |
