Eh, Some of the harmonies sound a little off with the guitar chords and the vocals.

Sounds pretty good! Try using the damper pedal, though. It sounds a bit too harsh and staccato without it. Also, the background static noise went off about half way through it. It would be better if it were like this the whole way. That static detracts from the performance.

One of my favorite takes on this song so far. You don't veer too far from the original song, but make it a little simpler and add your own flair! I like it. Nice drum playing, by the way.

I love that picture. Orbitals of an atom! Quantum mechanics! Your song beautifully depicts the different energy levels that an electron goes through in an atom. A little repetitive, but hey, what's an electron to do?

This song has sort of a laid back jazzy rock feel to it. the electric guitar is a nice touch to it. Add a pinch of funk, and you have this song. When I listen to this song, I feel like "everything's ok."

This song is a little crazy. Everything gets a little off the beat almost halfway. I don't know.. maybe it's supposed to be like that? It's also like the melody changes, but the 1st melody keeps going and it doesn't exactly fit. Good work, for only using a keyboard! but it's just too abstract for my tastes.

Keep working on it!

Nostalgic Bossa by iG-STUDiO 4 years ago
5

I have your "Nostalgic Bossa" take 2 on my iPod now. I think I'll keep that one just because of the voices in the background of this one. It's a nice touch for the song, but for average listening in a jazz playlist, it works better without the voices. I love this extended edition though. Such a great song. You should be really proud of yourself.

I really like this song. The homophony flows together very nicely. What I don't like is the unnatural flute sound. Were they made with the GarageBand software instrument? It would sound so much better if real flutes were playing this.

You took a concept that could have been pretty boring, you know, the usual "loops, percussion, sound effects, my own stuff," and made it really exciting! I love the feel of this song. It's kind of dark in a way. Congrats. (y)

CHIKEN KILLA, that comment was COMPLETELY unnecessary. There is nothing wrong with the vocals at all. The recording seems a little distorted, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the voice. I'm going to give him a 5 because you were so rude. I just read a comment in the forums about people feeling uncomfortable about sharing their music here because people smash it to bits in the ratings. You had no business making a comment like that. I liked the song. (up until the weird loud interruption near the end of the song.. it just didn't sound like it fits.) Great work!

On a side note, I just saw Lord of the Rings in concert conducted by Howard Shore here in Atl. It was AMAZING!!! I love the LOTR music - incredible stuff. I like this remix of the LOTR theme. It's a little repetitive and cuts off at the end. Also, at the beginning, the timing seems messed up. Listen to it and you'll see what I mean.

haha! First day at the site, and already you realize that people like live recorded music instead of loops. smiley . But that being said, this is not a bad song. I've noticed on some of the songs that I make, if I throw together a collection of loops and organize them, the song turns out pretty well. I like your song. It has a very "computing" like feeling to it. Nice work.
