| Yea i'm curiuos to hear the boost. I used a maximizer on the master bus with ozone 4 but I didnt want to squash what dynamics were in there. If you think you can get the loudness up but still maintain it's integrity, please do. Let me know, i'de like to hear it. Thanks again for the interest and and comments. |

| I didnt produce the beat on this one. It's "subtle art of a break up song " by Cage off of "Hells Winter". Thanks for the opinion on the vocal content. Much appreciated. Peace |

| constructive crit: volume levels are a little off, drums are too faint and that synth is overpowering. The main synths melody is from another song, so you need something else to differenciate your song from it ( cant name the song off hand i listen to soo much music ). You defently need to add to this, it was very plain. it sounds like a good start though. Good job on not using loops or samples though, cubase can be a beast to work in. oh yea and i didnt catch a hip hop vibe at all from this, more electronic/experimental/video game scenario vibe. maybe change the beat up or add more vsts and melody that might alter its appearance. peace |

| np.. i was just givin you my honest opinion from a beat maker/lyricist point of view. | |
| trigger-nometry by cuddabrown | 3 years ago |
| cool track, nice flow. BUT..was this based on cannibus' *****-nometry? cuz your hook is like the same **** as cannibus'. not sure how to take this? either you bit the idea, or you worked off his initial concept of *****-nometry, and flipped it. But i sense if that were the case you would have put it up in the description. you may want to clear that up, so people dont get the wrong idea. cuz im a pure hip hop head, and this looks bad from my point of view lol. just bein real no disrespect. it'de be cool if you could clear that up though. peace the lyrical content was fairly basic ( especially now that im comparing it to cannibus ), but flowed nicely. good stuff. |

| cool sampling job. i agree with Zam, either take out that bass hit and replace it with another, more solid bass...or work on the sound of yoru existing one. cool vibe and beat runs nicely. | |
| back to basic ok by rustyred | 3 years ago |
| i recognise the intro bass loop from reason4..however, i like what you did with it..took the upbeatness and gave it a grimey and darker backing...decent stuff. | |
| Do Your Thing Snippet... by Infamus_Da_Emcee | 3 years ago |
| nice flow..nothing too crazy on the rhyme scheme, but your flow was dope. contrsuctive crit: the beat was 2 basic and 2 generic for my liking.. and not sure if its the mp3 encoding or the production on the beat, but it doesnt bang, its flat. You know what i mean? it sounds very distant so there was no dynamics ( also, possible clipping on those snares/clap)... Verse was nice though. i like your style. peace |

| i do video game mixed with hip hop 2 when im in the mood, so i was diggin this (no loops). i wasnt really a fan of the sample vst you used to run the melody from the start. **but when the sound FX come in and mesh together, now that was ILL**.. cool sequence. | |

| 80s Arp by Baza | 3 years ago |
| nice melody, loved the arp and when the flute came in it sounded dope. sounds like an old video game track, something on genesis or snes. like an old wanders from Ys game or hydlide for genesis, has an adventurous/exploration feel to it. and the beat is totally an old game beat. cool track i enjoyed it | |

| wish i knew what was loops and what was actually midi/sequenced. Hard to give props on production when loops are involved. dope beat, i just wish i knew what work you actually put into this, and what was premade. in any case cool sound. | |

| Self Destruction by Assasination05 | 3 years ago |
| feedback: ok first, hate to break it to you, but your not making something from scratch when you USE LOOPS...im guessin u made a mistake with that though, cuz it doesnt sound like your using any loops in this. sounds very much midi/sequenced. production wise, im not sure about this. i dont really like how the beat pushes out the R channel, and your vocals out the L. Theres a lack of balance, which makes it hard to listen to. mixing is all about making something "listenable" and finding balance between L & R. i tend to like my vocals centered, and then panned on another track if you want them more prodominant on one side. if this was from scratch using NO LOOPS then thats cool i repsect that. not a fan but its not bad, it works. your vocals were ok. i liked the touch of singing. almost like a bluesy sublime type deal. you fell off the flow a few times, but its cool.. decent track. hope that helps. |

| Spit Fire, Throw Lightning by seanuel | 3 years ago |
| cool beat, original sound. given the nature and sounds used, you should do something with a female vocalist. call it, "you silly *****". for real lol. I got this immature funloving female vibe off of this. almost like a puppy love feeling, ide work that concept. the strings give a sense of sadness drown in the upbeat to justify a dilemma of sorts, but the fun sounds make it moreless a happy experience. the ending could be a resolve of sorts...ie lesson learned. cool original vibe. maybe eq that one sample on the right just a tad more and bring down the highs to eliminate that scratching feel, unless thats what u were goin for. |

| nice track loved the intro and the build on percussions. always been a fan of congos/bongos etc. this track had a good flow and motion and sounded great. Such a soft voice, and well written. loved the sporadic horn/bass/flute hits and how they take turns moving the track, good relationship of sound. | |
| The Reading (Give It To Ya) by IcePack | 3 years ago |
| not really a fan of loops/sampling. so i cant say to much about this. i made a beat for this same XXL contest, never submitted it. the winner deserved it for sampling lavar burtons reading rainbow. now about asher lol. i really dont think asher will blow. nor do i think he should. it bothers me how the only thing that he has going is the shady clone thing. lets face it hes average when it comes to writing. I havnt even heard a KILLER track, sure he has some random killer lines, but hes FAR from consistant on a track. I hate mickey facts ( mostly for his so called freestyle, in which he he basically bit a cannibus track from over 10 yrs ago..the whole rhyme scheme w/ the whole javelin/abdomen/travellin/ rhyme.) but mickey facts last drop was soulful and better than anything ive heard from asher. even hamilton who i hate is better the asher.. i think people want another big white rapper and its gonna be a sad day if asher is that rapper. he doesnt deserve a huge deal. me being real. i liek the guy, dont get me wrong im not hatin i just dont think hes all that good. people just want another eminem. the old eminem. |

| On Top by jasonhunwick | 3 years ago |
| this is cool considering theres NO loops. love that. not a fan of the drum samples, im more old into the old school perc, but thats personal preference. but i did like the random breaks in the beat. nice use of samples on this, nice track. | |

| Piano alone in the dark by alexandre | 3 years ago |
| dope and respectable. Loved the intro you played, the dark tone of the track with the strings on the elft channel with the centred sampled..everything works together and mixed well. i agree with the snare maybe turn it down just a notch. im not sure if it was the stream, or my work pc, but i was picking up a click every bar ( during verse its loud to me ). intentianal? it comes out the left C. throws me off. do you hear what im talking about? could be the chopped sample? its not the gun clip sound thats centered.. something else. anyways this is HOT, love how you played almost everything..repsectable..dope **** man. |
|
| Ground Zero by jasonhunwick | 3 years ago |
| loved the synth, hated the drums. lol. i hate that south drum sound..im more old school when it comes to perc. overall had a nice feel to it... to get your rolling freq were you automating the eq? or is that a preset sample in GB? i dont use GB |

| electro rap **** by rustyred | 3 years ago |
| didnt sound like it needed that much work, compared to some of the **** ive heard on here. you say no loops but your drums sound like a loop, very centred..maybe widen them and pan? loved the originality of this and the sporadic bleeps...that was dope. when you changed up the drums after and cut the cymbals, dope. very cool track. | |

| not bad at all, got that mainstream sound. 1st verse was decent..was that a second emcee that came in? I wanst feeling him, thought the lyrics/rhyme scheme were weak. was feeling this track, deep sound. serve like serinas, been done to death though..lol |
|
| Always by Enertron | 3 years ago |
| i like the cathedral church organ sound. gives it a deep feeling.. the beat to me sounded to random and sparse though.. if your gonna run a melody like this you need the drums to be tight and listenable. it gets more structured as it progresses but you almost lost my interest after .30 sec. when the choir hits with the chimes it sounds nice, well done. the piano had a nice full sound to it, although i have heard that melody before! but I like how theres no loops either, good stuff..stay creative! btw thats the most ridiculus thing ive heard LOL synesthia...LOL. i dont care if "scientists" created this phenomona, anyway you slice it you CANT taste colour. If you think you can taste colour theres another word for you and its not called synesthia, its called "retarded". lol srry but it doesnt make sense! |

| nice track, basic in nature but its a freestyle track so its not suppose to throw the vibe around.. whats respectful about this mix is that it sounds like it contains loops but DOESNT. nice mixing skills, everything was tight and clear. | |

| this tracks hot, props for this one.. less generic than the last 2. you dummin down the quality so people dont highjack your ****? very flat, and no life behind it. hot melody and samples though. | |

| Your Spoon (Dish & Spoon Over The Moon Mix) by MissRedd | 3 years ago |
| hot. drumline was dope, voice was nice and well suited for the track. i liek the dark sci-fi/spacey vibe..i tend to get into that mind set often..cool track and very well produced. cool ****. | |
| Beat by seanuel | 3 years ago |
| yea no doubt this was cool... one word of advice and the only thing i felt off about this track was the drums...felt to distant and low on the volume...Raise your beat, hip hops foundation is the drum n bass, so emphasize the beat more. especially the feel of this track, it needs bangin drums otherwise my head wont bob. melodies and samples you used were hot...drums should be on the same level. nice drop. maybe a bit more variation too, cuz u have a good melody here..ide work on this some more..cool **** though, | |

| its ok...but why does everyone use that same kit for every type of track? thats the 4th track in a row ive checked on this site using the same kit lol. Keep doin ya thang and you'll grow into your own style. nice beat. | |
| dark times by CduB561 | 3 years ago |
| nice track, i hate the kit that u used..its a southern kit and not a southern beat. I was expecting the drums to kick hard when it came in. Decent beat the voice dub over top isnt really necessary. i had to shut it off after a few moments lol.. in fact ide rather have someone steal my beat and me catch em then sue the hell out of em. lol. Plus if someone was to steal the beat its easy to just listen to it and re-sequence it... anyways drop a line if u get the chance. http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=97578 |

| sick beat, nice sampling. I wasnt a fan of the lyrical content, you both were on your own ****. First MC was defently a lot better than the second. The second rapper sounded like he was trying to hard, but didnt come across sincere in what he was spittin. Nice sampling. http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=97578 |

Good luck marketing this track, i could see buck on it, but not wayne. But then again knowing how cheap wayne is he might copp it ..lol. check out my track thats up, ive got 2 underground emcees working on it. | My Own Worst Enemy by Architek | 3 years ago |
| i really liked it at the start. i liked the samples you put together to make the melody, but dawg theres needs to be more variation to it. I kept wanting to hear a break, or another instrument added, or some soundFX would have done nicely scattered through out the track...ide hold onto this and work on it some more...tight idea though. check me out and drop a line, thanks. http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=97578 |

| not bad, feels more like its in the concept stage. Theres really not too much going on in this track. I liked the voice samples you ran through it, and has a calming melody, but needs more to it. quality wasnt that good, real low volume.. keep it up though.. check out my track if u get time and drop a line. http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=97578 |
