Even though it's Sunday for me...

Over the past few years, I had this idea for an album. It would be a collection of all the songs I had written for my personal 52-week challenge, which was to write at least one song a week starting in June of 2014. After 47 weeks, I became burnt out but still had over 100 completed songs.

Flash forward to 2017, and I'm working on material for my Morning/Evening sessions, which I'm still writing for. I sat down at my desk one day and started making a list of songs that would be considered and demoed for Morning/Evening, when all of a sudden, I get this bright idea to resurrect the previous album from the depths of songwriting hell. So, I'm working on two albums at once... which is fantastic for my anxiety.

Anyway, the second album is not only a collection of songs from the 52-week challenge but everything that had been written from my junior year in college (2010) up to my move to Nashville (May 2015). Needless to say, I have my work cut out for me, but I have several tracklists that I'm going through. I plan on playing out at some open mic nights and writer's rounds around Nashville to get some feedback and see where I can go from there.

Oh yeah, and the album is called "Something for a Monday Night." My friend and I were texting back and forth one night and she had mentioned this phrase (though at this point, I forgot the context of the conversation) and I wrote back saying that I was going to use this as a title for something...

So, that's where I stand now. Now excuse me while I go hole myself up in my room for a while...
