I am going to be re-working a "digital" pro tools version without outboard gear, this version is set in stone because I have no more studio time in that class, but I do have the raw files that will be a future "B" version.. | Yea I rearranged the entire song basically, made the melody a little more groovy and the rhythm guitars a little clearer with some riffage in there as well. and obviously took out the wah.. this is straight from the board eq on the drums and the bass was recorded direct....let me know what you all think. | Wow, thank you for the comments...I love hearing peoples reactions to my madness...hehe That was an awesome description herr and ashley thank you for the kind comment as well, ya the drums were a bit of a bit..h to get right when you have major distorted guitars, I would like to re produce these again sometime, but the ideas kept flowing out of my head and I rushed them a bit in production. I just wanted to get this out since it took me over a year to come out with another piece to the original, I may hold off on the third act of this for awhile as well until I get it right, also so I can do some other tunes that arent quite as in depth mentally for me. I appreciate the comments and believe me the idea of this took longer than the actual writing, I probably rehearsed each piece about 10 times before recording it and some just came out of me. All the solos were done in one take on each song ( I usually like the first thing I do, because the freshest ideas seem to come out of me after playing all the rhythms first) The thing that took the longest was finding the right effects and sounds, which I still am not truly happy with, I would love to do something vocally over this at some point in my life, but hey...time is the actual enemy for me at least, so finding it and the right words and right person to do it is a killer. This second act was not as in depth as the first but like I said it just started coming out and I had to go with it, so there are a few flaws here and there but all in all it was a valiant effort for me hahaha so thanks again to those who listened and will listen. R |

My only real crit is I d like to hear some percussion in there...rolling cymbals a few timpani hits a celeste? or not..(personal favorite here..lol) cool composition, maybe some deeper bass, cellos or Double bass would be cool (or even a synth bass), and some bigger brass when the perc. hits...but really it is still a great concept Thanks for sharing...I still need to start sharing my orchestral stuff soon...so you'll know Im not just some guitarist spoutin at the mouth...haha Later Ray |
