| If anyone wants to use this tune to develop something then have a go. I will not be returning to make anything of this piece until at least June 06 so just let me know if you post any variation on my improvisation. R. |

| The Strange Case by Reinholt56 | 3 years ago |
| Hi Guys Thanks for both of your kind comments. I'm actually trying to push the bounds of loop music so that the music is more interesting whilst being not too repetative (i.e. changing percussion and bass loops). I create up to 16 mixes and the best overall mix of sounds is given a name and uploaded (most of the time). Sometimes mix 1 is good enough and so work stops there. Next year, when I have more time, I will make my own loops and also play more parts on the mixes. This will give me more leeway with 'my' tunes as opposed to mixing other peoples loops (bought commercially) into most of the tunes I upload at the moment. The synth parts are my favourite and if the part cuts through the rest of the tune (and sounds and fits OK) I tend to think this a job done OK and I can rest until my next idea/s. As I say in my mini Bio, I'm in an experimental mode whilst having fun mixing at the same time without getting too technical. |

| This piece has something. More work could make promise into actuality. I go with kristyjo on the balance and volume. | |
| Two Timing E by Reinholt56 | 3 years ago |
| The piece is made up totally of prerecorded loops from my collection. No live stuff here. I will eventually start recording my own music again, live, but not until I have my MSc dissertation out of the way, next March. Until then it's other peoples loops and my occasional ideas on how they should fit together. Thanks for your comments. |

| Thanks Eurostrike/Cameron I have around 15 classically-oriented improvisations, mostly done with the open crystal mike, plus other, written classical pieces, all of which will waste away until I finish my MSc (next March(06)) when I will then organise my life and music and compositions and make a better job of recording both played- and looped mixes. Plus the extra time I will have should give me no excuse on the production quality of these pieces. |

| The Right Time by Reinholt56 | 3 years ago |
| Hi Spacemanspiff I love doing the mixing and, in about a years time when my MSc course is finished I want to do more music writing so lyrics, now or in the future are at the bottom of the list. I wouldn't want to chance spoiling the music with my own words. Thanks for your comments. At the moment I am between modules so have free time to mix. That's enough for now.....I have promised myself that I'll get a life when the studies are over. |

| I have enjoyed listening to this piece and have saved a copy to listen to at my leisure. I listen to it whilst I read the headlines in the mornings. Great work and idea. |

| Hi enriquefernando Of course I hear the distortion. The full recording is about 5 minutes and because I was improvising and recording via an open mike the sound gets progressively worse. The main problem was that the mike volume was too loud and as I bang away on the keyboard the sound distorts more and more. That is why I cut the fragment out. I thought that it was too good a tune to not let people hear some of it. That is the point of icompositions don't you think?? The weekend where I recorded many piano pieces I had no music, was in the middle of France, had just set up computing and recording facilities and the stuff that came out was worth recording better but I didn't know any better and never thought about in-line recording. The pieces are all tainted and need redoing but are improvisations and they will, to me, be very hard to reproduce. Now I could do better. Thanks for your comments though. |

| I agree with you about the loops. There could be more done with them. My problem is that I have just the time to try and put the volume levels right on the mixes that I upload but not the time to remix. I'm working full time and studying in the evenings and weekends. I will probably not get around to any new stuff or mixes until August or September. Thanks for your comments. | |
