Both. I have a couple hardware synths (moog/virus) and a NI Maschine for my drum machine/pads. I use the keyboard on the moog for midi input to software synths too. Glad you liked it!

The past few songs I've made have led me in this direction. Recently, when I start a new song I just figure out the speed and then try to work out a melody with heavy glitched elements and this is what was made as a result this time. Glad you liked the piano.

Haha you've got no idea how appreciated a detailed comment is. I could see an organ crescendo fitting in really nicely. An organ would be easy to fit into the mix. I could try a second organ as a subtle/filtered rising arp or something. I'll see if that makes it too cluttered. I have a new version up where I messed with a bit of filtering in the intro/breakdown. I'll try the organ soon though.

Hahah glad you liked it! I don't have the nexus yet, I used to have the refx Vangaurd but I haven't gone back to their site to grab it since I reformatted. But! It does have a few sounds I recorded from the Virus which is quite similar to the Nexus, only in hardware form.

Thanks for the suggestion. I found a vocalist through an artist I've collab'd with (he's not on this website). She's got an amazing voice and I'm looking forward to working with her. The similarity to the other song my just be the chord progression/synth type but glad to hear they're not the same.

Glad you enjoyed it Axel! Seems Gary might not have but this was just me experimenting with some elements I don't usually play with too much. I wasn't expecting everyone to be nodding their head. I can see how some would dislike it and the aspects others may find enjoyable.

Not feeling the main synth as much as I was that day. Might ditch the project as far as synths are concerned and work on a new song with the similar bongos/claps. We'll see what happens. Glad you enjoyed the synth at least.

I liked it man. A bit repetitive for my taste but there wasn't any repetition of 'bad sounds'. As I do not watch the BBC news due to my location, I can still recognize the fun in hearing that news intro chopped up as you had it. Good job man.

Awesome song man, very unique. Figured I owed ya at least one tag back. My quicktime player doesn't show me time so I can't point out specific synths but I'm enjoying the song as a whole and the unique sounds!

Haha thanks much! Glad to hear I'm pushing the boundaries of what people think can come out of FL Studio. In all honesty, if I wanted to switch programs to Ableton or Reason, I would. However, I know I can get my songs to sound even better. I haven't been hitting any walls yet with FL Studio, just limitations with my own mastering.

Thanks much! I use FL 9 along with a Virus TI Snow and a Moog Little Phatty Stage II. I actually love FL Studio. Version 9 makes sidechaining extremely easy. A very welcomed change haha.

Phew, finally. I am going for a bit of the ambient sound in the background created from the blend of the other synths going on with 1-2 synths that pull out from the others to form the leads.

I'm glad you want the snare louder. I'm saving a new version now. Much improved and making that snare louder was part of the improvements. The drums really stand out now and should sound pretty sharp instead of muddy. It'll be up in 15 mins or so. I'll rename this/archive it.
