This has potential. Send it to Bono when finished.. er.. I meant MaleKey.. he's the Bono of iComp.
Momentarily by BrainTree 6 months ago
Not bad at all. I would go back and bring the vocals up to meet his guitar, but it's still a great song.
Scrambled Sirens by MrBajen 6 months ago
Funky chunky guitar line. I like it.. it's like angry spy music meets dark alternative.

I was copying Jay's delivery on this..

Nothing Left to Take by Rusticalia 6 months ago
[quote="hiphopmoses"]I like this and I love that it sounds like it's just you and your guitar not studio souped up. I hear either the noise gate or compression kicking in on the vocal, if you want that removed I might can help... But when this is done I'd like to cover it (keeping your guitar) if that's ok of course.
Moses

I'd love that.. I think it may actually be a fan noise from a nearby room. If you can remove it I will be very happy, so go for it.
another lost song by thetruffulaseeds 6 months ago
That guitar sound is SO lush. This piece is just great.. sort of like Ryan Adams meets Toad The Wet Sprocket.

I love his vocal delivery.
Those Dirt Walls by thenownows 6 months ago
The song is brutal lyrically, but it works in it's own weird way.

Good Job. Garageband is very easy to learn actually, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

You sound JUST like JIM.. great stuff.
Tails & Heads by CaremelTones 6 months ago
Guitar sounds horrible.. it's overloading and distorting. Turn your levels down on it. The vocals and lyrics are great though, they have a Beatles feel.

Sounds like 70's trucker rock.. witty stuff.

You need some vocals on these unfinished tracks.. a lot of potential.
The Third Triangle by EtaCar927 6 months ago
I hear a sultry female voice, sort of like SADE, on this.
The End Of The Dinosaurs by EtaCar927 6 months ago
I agree with yank but it's your call. Either way the guitars sounded nice and balanced on this. Straight ahead rock song.. I would turn the keys down a touch and the guitar up.
Cover - Thunder - Boys Like Girls by EtaCar927 6 months ago
Nice.. I'd see if you can roll of the bass of the acoustic a bit in the EQ, but this is a good cover.
Ain't No Hero (and the Gunslinger followed) by Surak 6 months ago
Well done.. I do think there is a slight dullness to the sound.. not sure.. maybe turn up or eq the guitars to be brighter? Alan's bass is slightly lost in the mix.
GO by djericdesign 6 months ago
Nice.. funky with a bit of Detroit in there. I dig it.
Jacaranda by RubyDubidoux 6 months ago
Nice work. I can tell you I saw a TON of Jacaranda trees when I was in South Africa.

Nice guitar work.
Can You Tell by Chordwainer 7 months ago
May be morbid, but it works. The lyrics seemed a tiny bit formulaic, but it's still a decent song.

7000 Miles Between Us by carlajpatterson 7 months ago
My only wish is that I could remember the name of the other guy who did the second guitar. He was a fingerstyle player on EJamming from Ohio.

The bass is a little too high in the mix but otherwise.. DAMN.. this is stellar.
Ain't No Sunshine (Acoustic Blues Cover) by IbanezDude321 7 months ago
Jazzy.. I love it.

I totally hear the Police in this. You might want to see if you can get someone with a jazzier tone like Sting to do the vocals?

I would see if you can clear up the vocals with a little more bass and bring the bassline back slightly.
Haha, There Is A Hole In Your Shoe by Uplink 7 months ago
As Becs says.. it does have some dynamics. I would caution against screaming though. I think some At The Drive In Style vocals would be fine, but Screaming might take away from the feel of the song.
Blackout of Humanity by musika 7 months ago
Nice work.. piano work reminds me of Chris Garneau, who you should check out.
Iodine Punch *TAKE 2* by musika 7 months ago
I would leave out the Organ as it is jarring next to the piano. The rest is actually neat! Well done Dylan!

Thank you everyone.. Credit must be given to Alan for the bulk of the lyrics.. I simply tweaked what Alan gave me and ran with it.

Bonnie would be proud. This is a great version of a great song. I grew up with Bonnie Raitt because my mother played her CD's quite often.

This has a lot of potential.. will await the final version with your young guitarist friend.
Over You (with bells and whistles) by theironsaul 8 months ago
I like it so far.. the guitar could be a little louder in the mix, but otherwise it sounds pretty damn smooth.
La Luna En El Corazon by Rusticalia 8 months ago
@theironsaul.. yes go ahead and take a stab at the guitar part then message me when you have a guitar track so I can give you my email to send it.

@darkhatred.. I'm picky about real drums, not software.

C'est La Vie by DjBaro 9 months ago
The bass needs to come up a bit, but the backing track is dope. Maybe add some more reverb to the main horn stab.

Amazing what GB for iPad can do.
Seven by ifuturejack 9 months ago
Has an 80's feel but not in a cliche way. I think the guitar in the backgroun is too low and is being crowded out by the bass though. Bring it up a tiny bit in the mix.
Snooze Control (WIP) by jrahn 9 months ago
The drum track is catchy, but the synths seem all over the place. The guitars are great. Maybe lose the synths so the focus is all on the awesome guitar parts?

1992 by FrozenEntropy 9 months ago
This is great. BTW, can't wait to hear the parts you did for "Portrait Of The Artist..". I have another one that needs some blippy synths as well that's still being worked on.

Great stuff Stebb, your vocals keep improving. It does feel you slightly rushed your delivery in some places, but I like the feel of it overall.
