The band originates from Italy and was formed in 1998.
By 2000 Sovversivo’s identity evolved when members began writing songs which mixed both Hard Rock and Heavy Metal styles.
Great live performances from 2002 to 2006, in collaboration with the Black Dahlia Agency, gave Sovversivo the opportunity to play with well-known and respected bands such as Labyrinth, Rain, Extrema, Doomsword, Omen and Virgin Steele.
3 demo cd’s were recorded in 2002, 2003 and 2005.
Of the founding members Andrea Uboldi (vocals), Matteo Serra (guitar), Federico Gassa (bass) and Pier Monti (drums) the first 3 remain: the drummer has changed 3 times and currently it is Gianluca Luci (ex Ahrcana) who joined in 2006. 2 new songs and new arrangements to the old stuff finally leaded The band in studio to record the first full-length "Wild Emotions" in 2008.
