Oddeo I use software called audacity. You need to have the track as well as an instrumental of the same track. Then you can invert the instrumental and merge it with the regular track leaving only the vocals. Most the time certain middle tones will bleed through but you can manually correct for that.

this is dope man, awesome job with the synth programming. what application are you using for the wobble bass? ive been trying to get a similar sound in reason 4 but im not quite there yet.. any advice? I'd also like to mix this with some of my sounds if that would be cool? i want to hear some heavy percussion with that bass and i wasn't too thrilled with the hook. all around beastly though.

@ shaman - yeah i tried messing around with some effects on the vocals but i couldnt get a sound that i liked so i left them pretty clean with a little reverb.
My Love Is Your Harmony (Another Language Mix) by Geechi3 1 year ago
the reversed vocals are awesome, interesting.. i may experiment with that too. really trippy synth work that flows perfectly. nice track both of you.
smash crab (extended slippery mix) by Sera 1 year ago
i use reason for all the programming and re-wire it to either GB or logic pro to record and export. reason is incapable of audio in unless it is sampled. so it cant record a live guitar basically but i record midi in most of my stuff anyway
Taken from Death by olympus 1 year ago
agree with henno - vocals would be a pretty awesome addition.
Surfacing by olympus 1 year ago
impressing that you made this with GB. the drop is insane. could be a bit heavier though. sub out those low bass tones even more.
FourFingerFunkness by TheShamanKing 1 year ago
sick beat. id like to hear what those drums sound like sped up to 160 ish. some of it almost trip-hop. pretty dope.
UnderHouseArrest by TheShamanKing 1 year ago
i think the unexpected is what you do best. love when the bell type inst comes in and the fuzzy sine wobble bass shortly after. it think you got that dub wobble down. i was groovin the whole time.
we were told by Lapskin 1 year ago
i was under the impression that audio in to reason was impossible. i have been recording sample in audacity and using an nnxt from there. how do you record with the nnxt?

btw - reason 5 and record 1.5 released a few days ago. audio in capabilities and a new kong drum machine. i downloaded the demo, its pretty nice if you like working in reason.
Sex & Candy (Electric Dreamy Mix) by C_Man 1 year ago
really groovy, love the blippy bassline and vocals. good tune both of you
MadFlava by TheShamanKing 1 year ago
another great creation. dig it. some of the those wide bass tones you got mixed in there are nazzty! and the way the whole feeling changes around and the samples just move it along- dope.

negative on the reverbnation. is it a music sharing site?

and the tempo was set at 120 bpm but i think your right it sounds like half a millisecond off. i didnt notice really until i listened closely. the clicky sample is long enough where it kind of washes over anyways and masks the timing a bit.

jackie brown by Sera 1 year ago
the frequency isn't high enough in the beginning to hear it but towards the end it is. it just bugs me a bit.
jackie brown by Sera 1 year ago
just realized when i exported the track the bass compressor was bypassed so the wobble is super blown-out. clip clip. ill fix it soon and update.
element 115 by Sera 1 year ago
glad to hear that... i suggest that you listen to some of the dubstep artists these days. i.e. bassnectar, rusko, caspa, gtronic are a few that i like. get into it!. spread the dub!

Bass (open Collab) by MakenaMonk 1 year ago
very interesting, unique, awesome. a played in a band and our bassist would sometimes strum the bass instead of picking just one string... similar to this sort of bass orchestra idea but a bit different in its own way. i would love to hear a jazzy beat behind it though.
Electric Carnival vs. TheShamanKing by TheShamanKing 1 year ago
this is sick, you got those glitchy samples down. diggin what you did with the buildup breakdown and the crazy drums. it mixes really well. love it dude.
It's Morphin Time. by feedrosie 1 year ago
i forgot how sick this track is. i may just need the logic file to do a dubstep mix. and that low fuzzy lead synth is awesome too

thanks for the comments, soundhound - the bass line is very similiar but not exactly the same. percussion is totally re-done and i think the horns are pretty much the same they just repeat a little more in this one.

The Mermaid Chronicles by TheShamanKing 1 year ago
i like the beat, that sort of slowed breakbeat. ive been trying to get a certain sound that you used in it. im not sure what you would call it but that kind of reversed crash sound right before a snare hit. ive tried doing exactly that and reversing a crash or ride sample but cant get it right.. any suggestions? dope track.
Ohh She's Ready! by TheShamanKing 1 year ago
this is ****ing ill. huge perc goes with all the changes perfectly, the intro drew me in too. dope.

soundhound - im not sure if your talking about the pitch bend automations, which were intentional, or not. not sure what you mean by half-tone modulations? please explain, id like to know what your speaking of. thanks for the comments.
dj ziggles by Sera 2 years ago
hey thanks for the comments and input.

zincshed - the drum machine is mostly a pre-loaded chemical redrum kit in reason. some of the rim shots and clicks are added samples though and i equalized the set different for that punchy type kick and high frequency snare. p.s. - awesome way to describe the emotion of the track... now i picture mad scientist listening to it, i dig it.
Ones and Zeroes by DjDetski 2 years ago
sounds awesome. genuine house groove. i rocked out a bit in my chair. haha. to what you were saying about the instruments... i suggest not using loops at all. write or record your own midi notes and use initialized synth patches and program them yourself. it takes a lot longer and more knowledge of reason but you can perfect your synth sounds exactly how you want them. the automations on the lead are good. the sidechain compressed static sounds nice too. keep making music.

lausaya- it is difficult to begin to learn and understand the program i think. i use reason 4 re-wired to garageband. if you can already write music and know progressions etc. it shouldnt be difficult after you learn the software. as far as i know your capabilities in reason are pretty much endless so i think learning the program, or something like ableton live that it similiar, is very worth it.

J3B by KnqulearShift 2 years ago
i like the pads and percussion sounds in particular. awesome patient build from a trance feel to that head bobbing dance feel. and yes i would listen again. very cool track.
DJ Got Murdered by Sera 2 years ago
im pretty sure you made the bass line for this song. i opened up GB and there was the very beginning bass line in midi so i worked it. but i know what you mean, the beat and the pad before the saw synth comes in at the end would be a cool song in itself

pretty dope track. i kinda want to hear vicki in it at some point sayin somethin like the blue naked ladies track. listen to 'been nassi done that' if you havnt already, i used that pump-kin synth. ive got something important coming in the mail by the way if u dont mind gettin to it before some hood rat does that would be much appreciated. and good news on the judicial front... no court and no testing.

wow, ive been browsing your icomp page for about an hour now.. you have so much material, its awesome! and an amazing wide variety of genres too. all very good by the way (what i have listened to at least). and i must say i am in love with your voice.
