| Love your vocal Elaine, and the music seems well done and mixed. This has a bit of that old Country vibe to it that works for the song, but I do have one little nit. I think the echo on the guitar is a little too much, and the guitar is jst a little too hot in the mix. It sometimes take away from the the vocal because of it. All that said, I love the song and how your vocal carries it into that traditional country atmosphere. Great collab you two. Ed |

| The NZAB sounds wonderful here, as does Dave on his vocal. Your arrangement takes advantage of the strengths of this unique group of very talented musicians and the instruments they play, by giving them a chance to shine. The additions of the strings and guitar add the shimmer on that shine and turn this into a world class production in my humble opinion. Thank you for posting this, and also a shout out to Vicki for putting it up on her FaceBook page. I would not have found it otherwise, and would have been greatly diminished for not having the chance to hear this wonderful recording. To all involved in this production, Kudos to you all. Ed |

It is a special song and I'm glad you liked it. - Thanks Rusti, for dropping in to listen and the nice comments on the song. - Hello Jibes. Sharon died a long time ago, but there was a lot of emotion to deal with even now. Luckily, my Jeannie was here to support me on doing this which made it easier to do. I felt that Sharon's words were so special that this needed to be shared, and now I'm glad I did it. Thanks for the kind words my friend. - Thank you Chris, your words have a lot of meaning to me. I appreciate you listening and your comments my friend. Be well and be cool. - Hello Vicki. Sorry if I caused you to spring a leak around the eyes, but I was a necessary consequence of making this into a song. Love you girl. Get well and be well. Ed |

| Ah yes, signs of a mis-spent youth coming back to haunt you. Great song Mike, I can see it being a hit on campus. You don't say, but is this the original track or a recent remake of the song. With you new skills as a produced it would be very interesting to see how you would do the song now, with those new skills if this is the original. Love it as is, with it's quirky back tracks and all. Great job Mike. Ed |

![]() two of the best, doing what they do best. Guy, you got the music, production and mix perfect on this, and Peter, you put together an awesome set of lyrics and the knocked it out of the ballpark with your vocals. Best thing I've heard on iComp or MJ since forever. You two can be justifiably proud of this one, it's Radio ready and bound to be a hit. e Ed |

| - thank you Dee. I wrote the song as a tribute to true friendship, as shown by these 3 guys coming up to cheer me up. I think we were all made better by the visit, and it's for certain that the song was. They did some amazing work in the parts the contributed to the song. We're glad you came to listen and enjoyed the song Dee. Thanks again for the kind words. - Cees my friend, you have an open invite for any time you get to this part of the world. the guys really aced it on their parts for the song and made it much better than anything I could have done by myself, of that there is no doubt. Thanks for double dipping on this one Cees. Take care, Be well and be cool. _ Thank you Cindy. We appreciate those kind words about the song. As for the vocals, yes that was me. Patrick did the call/response vocal on the end of the song and he did a fine job with the response. As for the music, I laid down the basic rhythm tracks and Wah guitar lead, and the guy just filled in the blanks on everything else. An amazing job of it too I think. You are right true friends are hard to come by, but I've been very Blessed on that by managing to be lucky enough to have developed these 3 friendships as well as a few more here at iComp and some others over on MacJams as well. I'm truly bless in this regard. Ed |

| Thanks Dave, glad you liked the song. Thanks for listening and the kind words, - Elaine, what can I say. You're always there for me and the guys and we very much appreciate it.We had so much fun finishing up this song last Saturday, and our weekend was one of the best ever because of those guys coming up to see Jeannie & I. We'll keep doing what we can, as long as we can, but I have slowed down a lot as I deal with this. But every once in a while, I'll get inspired and do something unexpected. Love ya girl, Thanks for being there for us. - Hello Ramona. Thank you so much for listening to the song. You good wishes are appreciated and needed. Peace to you and yours dear lady, you're the best. - Thank you for listening Barbara. You are right about Hard Time, and about music. We all appreciate the kind words you left for us so thank you again for that. - Thanks Chris, I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately, but it is getting difficult to find the energy to visit as often as I used to, or to sit in front of the computer for extended periods of time these days. Thank you so much for the kind words my friend, and for listening. The guys and I really appreciate it. Ed |

| Man that Washburn sounds wonderful Art. I love the echo/delay setting you used on the Washburn recording. It helps it to fill this with atmosphere and give it a very special sound. The D50 works well filling in the blanks and completing the piece. Excellent work Art, and even though I'm not familiar with the song I do very much like what I am hearing. My only nit is tat I wish it kept on going more, as I wanted to hear more of that great slide playing on the Washburn. Ed |

![]() I really like the sound of you vox in this version Mike, but I do have a nit about some of the back tracks. | You Are The Sunshine Of My Life by zincshed | 1 year ago |
| I like what you've done here Roger, but I have a suggestion. Loosen up the Bass track a little and let it move around some. While it really sounds well played, it also sounds a little to "mechanical" to me and needs a little humanization. Volume changes from note to note, timing slips, that kind of stuff. That may have been the way you wanted it to sound, and I'm no expert, but that's my 2 cents worth. Now the rest of the story. I really love your interpretation on this. The Jazz trio really works the way you played the parts, and I have to admit it really does sound great. That said, I think I'll grab a copy for my iPod, at least until the next version comes out anyway. Thanks for the post Roger ! Be well my friend, and be cool, Ed |

| Very cool interpretation Roger. All the essential feel is there, in a sparse form. Then piano doing the Sax part is a bit of musical Genius I'd say. But what holds the whole thing together is that Bass. It creates the feel of the original, which makes this so enjoyable. Great track number 2 out of the 2 I've listen to of yours so far tonight. | I Wish (Stevie Wonder) - remix by zincshed | 1 year ago |
| If ya gotta do a cover, this would sure be the one to do. Nobody produced sounds like Stevie Wonder did during this time in has career. And since you are doing a cover, might as well do it right, and you did. This is an awesome track be it a cover or not, by any standards. The singer sounds like Stevie, well very close any way, and the band hit all the right feel from the first note on. The Horns and Clav were a great addition, even though I never heard the other version. Doesn't matter, this one is just great. Love it, and since you've so kindly left the download button available, I'm gonna use it to put this one on the iPod. Thanks Roger, love it big time sir Ed |

![]() Very well done Chord, Sparse but not a simple back track for the song, allows the song to shine on it's own merits. | Nice song Mike, you did a good job on the mix and the instrumentation works well for the song. Had a bit of the "Beatles" sound on the vocal in the first line of the Chorus. Be well and be cool my friend, Ed |

| Angelica by dirigent | 1 year ago |
| Andreas my friend, I love everything you do. this piece has some lovely parts in it that show the love, and some parts that show the hurt and anger. The Guitar and Bass flow smoothly through the piece and anchor it in love, but the synth parts, while at times distracting, do show the conflict of emotions that are in the song and the heart. I like it, and don't like, it all at the same time, which, I suppose is what the song is all about, the conflict of feelings and emotions. So again, I love everything you do, and this is included in that because it causes me to share the feelings that are in the heart, which I suspect is the whole purpose of the song. Ed |

| I like you vocal, and how it lays in the bed of music, but I would have mixed the music a little differently than Chris did. His mix is very good mind you, but I hear some things I would have done slightly different mostly in the drums. That said, this is an awesome cover and a great sounding track with lots of drive and energy. I don't think you need to fret over your mixing skills Vicki, you did a great job on this. And Chris' playing is up to the very high standards I've become accustom to expecting from anything he posts. Excellent track from both of you. Kudos Ed |

![]() Of course I was gonna give it 5 stars all the way, don't ya know. Love what you did on this Clay, you took it an made it your own, It has that S smoky gin joint kind of feel to your vocals that sells the song right away. You do this in a road weary story telling kind of way, like you telling the crowd at you current gig, about the last drunk you ran into down the road at another place. It's also like you're saying "hey, I'm not in the mood so don't try this here tonight". Love it Clay you did a great job on this remake. Thanks for letting me be a part of it with you. ![]() An excellent song about Merrie Old England that could just as well be about us in the States my friend. Stellar lyrics and vocal delivery with a wonderfully full back track. You can be very proud of this, "folk song" my friend. I think I'll adopt it for us as well, especially since we share so much history over the last 300 years. Bravo to you and kudos for your vision and courage. Ed |

| George was such a special person, I felt I had to do something to honor his memory. This was the only song I've ever done that seemed to fit. I cried when I posted this and some of my comments about Geo. He was very special to me on many levels. Ed |

![]() Hi Nick, Love what you've got here, and as an instrumental piece it kind of reminds me of "Pink Floyd". That said, you could take the basic structure of the song and build a lyric the works with each of the changes in that structure. You don't have to make the lyrics the entire length of that section, but have the lyrics follow the structure only as long as it takes that part of the lyrics to make the point. Then move on and do the next part the same way, using only as much of the music as needed to get the point of that part of the lyrics across. When you have the entire song's lyrics written, then make a new version that has only the amount of a musical structure to fulfill the needs of the lyrics for that section, and move on to the next, being careful to blend the sections together so nothing gets in the way of the transition from one lyrical part to the next. Don't know if I've made any sense here or if I'm just rambling, but you did ask, so I offered. Love what you've got my friend, Keep on Ed |

![]() This sounds more like something that an electronically augmented symphony orchestra would do, zag. very professionally mastered and full of all kinds of wonderful ear candy. I love how you alter the tempo in places, and especially how you leave room in the mix for thing you are doing have a chance to take center stage, whilst others are going away. Very creative use of sounds and loops indeed. that last little Jazz band set was the icing on the cake. Let it be know that I usually take a pass on electronica as most of what I have heard is just noise. But I'm so glad you visited my stuff, so I could return the favor and in so doing discover this wonderful piece of musical art. Bravo zag, this is awesome. Ed |

![]() Nice dedication, Mary. Sometimes we don't miss them until later in life. We miss the things lafe has shared with us, and yet we can not shoe them, tell them, or watch their reaction to all that is now and wasn't when they were with us. But I believe that they really ar always with us, as long as they are in our hearts. Very nicely done Mary, Ed |

| Nice throw Chris An interesting combination of sounds and moods. Nice clear mix and well produced. I'm not into electronic music very much, but I can sure tell when someone has put a lot of effort into the production of a piece. This is one where it shows. Ed |

Awe, don't cry Steve. I promise I'll quit singing if you just don't cry. ![]() Thanks for the listen my friend. I'm pleased with the way it turned out with the harmonies, but even then, I think of how good it could be with someone like Roxi, or Alannah was singing the backup harmonies on it, instead of me. Glad you like the way the new version turned out Steve. Thanks again for the kind words, I do appreciate it so much. Be well and be cool, Ed |

| why (when all i feel is pain) by that80sboy | 1 year ago |
| Nice one Mark. Great song and your vocal is spot on. My only nit is that there seems to be a bit too much high end in the drums, even for the deaf guy (me) that has a hard time hearing those particular frequencies. Other than that, it's a great mix and production of a very well done song. Be well and be cool my friend. Ed |

![]() Any doubts about your ability to take a song and make it your own, are completely dispelled by this song, Vicki. Love the pristine vocal and the laid back feel of this song. Kevin's back tracks are beautifully done, apparently twice, based on the song info. (Now I know why you chose the name Vixen)Bravo you two for a job very well done. Ed |

![]() Excellent production on this Chris. I can't pul the lyrics out, (because I don't hear well) so please post the lyrics if you can. That said the vocal sounds great and does the tremolo guitar in the beginning part. And from there it just gets better all the way through. Hell of a song, Chris, I love it. Ed |

![]() Simple truth in an elegant form, Stan. Thank you for inspiring me this morning, I needed this reminder, as we all do sometimes. I like the simple unadorned guitar for this song. It's clear, the message is in you heartfelt singing and in the words you sang. Ed |

| THE RIDE by KCsGROOVE | 1 year ago |
| Way cool groove, Cees, and the lyrics say something about the human condition. There are things we can control, and things we cannot. So we do what we can and leave the rest to providence. So, put that top down, let the sun an wind blow through what hair you left, and enjoy the ride. Ed |

![]() Makes me think of my days playing in a party band along the shores of Southern California, particularly around Belmont Shore, Long Beach, Dana Point, and Laguna Beach. That was during the summers of 1965 and 1966. Mellow, laid back and so reminiscent of those day. Easy going, no worries, all we did was concentrate on playing music, and of course the girls at all the beach parties we played at. Oh to be that young and "Innocent" again ! Love the smoothness of the Strat, and the way you moved the tremolo effects around in the stereo field. Nice playing, and superb sound my friend. Thanks for the memories, I needed to see those places and friends again in my mind. Ed |

| Talk about over the top, this is outrageously good John. drscientist's original track is a killer track to begin with and then you lay down this awesome vox on top. Not my style of music mind you, as you can imagine, but a great piece of work from both of you. Even I can hear that. Ed |
