This is nice!

Reminds me of the great danish dj TRENTEMOELLER, his mix of "What else is there?" is the best electronic song I ever heard.
Crisis Queen by andyfox 2 years ago
Good drive in this one, well written drum and bass track that is edgy without being too much.

The lyrics are not so important, it has to sound good, and it does!

Good groove.

The mix is a bit blurry in the bottom.

Nice melody.

Nice bass! I would like to hear it on a less busy drum track. After all, slapp bass is 50% percussion instrument and 50% tone instrument.

Great slapp escape from christmas!

She's Your Amphetamine,, by itiswotitis 2 years ago
oh yes, this feels good, I get a "Massive Attack" vibe...

music arrangement and vocals are great!

maybe, just maybe, the lyrics could go a bit further. because now the telling goes: "she seduce you and then leave you". over and over again. it's very linear and straight thought, not so interesting.

suggestion: tell the metaphor about a love junkie that sucks the love out of every well and just keeps on moving on and on like a vampire in the night before the sunrise. and also try to find an answer to why someone would do such thing...

art shall open our eyes! smiley

anyways I liked it alot and maybe this comment is over analysing. just trying to be honest. keep it up!

OCTOPUS:
a cephalopod mollusk with eight suckerbearing arms, a soft sacklike body, strong beaklike jaws.

OCTOPUS HIDEOUT:
a place where the cephalopods can dance not under control of another being. a hiding place drenched in a highly syntetic bass pumping sonority.

Hey bro! How is spain treating you? I will come and visit you soon.

I love when the songs starts after the first keyboard break, it's like a frog getting crushed CHRAK! smiley

There's more punch to this mix isn't it? Can't really tell, don't have my monitors plugged in yet.

Surfs up dude!

Nice one, honest work. We like a lot.

It's the kind of song you wanna hear on a long journey flight to an asian adventure. Order some drinks, kick back and relax.
Daglara by karasapan 2 years ago
Solid musical work and a beautiful voice.

I would love to do a collaboration piece, mix two musical styles a la Sisters of Mercy "Temple of Love".

If you're interested - let me know.

Thanx for sharing.

Love Song by brnPetra 2 years ago
Sweet, Mazzy Starish, which I like very much.

If you are worried about the loopy-sound, you should change it.

I'm not very fond of loops but it didn't bother me.

Sounds great.

Hola Maco!

The song lingers like a good party, you know when it feels good and you don't want it to end.

I hear you've used my favourite drum loop on this one, maybe thats why you liked my "Out of the Blue"?

Anyways, nice work.

Beach Boy-ish too...you just drift away listening to it. Very smooth. Great song structure. Good job.

It started out a bit shaky, good, but just a little bit shaky and then the voice gets more and more secure. And finally some parts that make you shiver in a positive sense. Wonderful experience when you have the original pink floyd majestic musical storm in the back of your mind listening to your quiet rendition.

Good honest work! I salute you my friend.
Remember the time of love (work in progress) by johanevander 2 years ago
Great work! I keep hearing King's X-arrangement when I listen to your tune. A suggestion would be to make the arrangement based on more contrast; choose the voice to be gritty and distorted at some parts and choose the voice to be really nice and clear at other parts. Also maybe try some harder fuzz guitar before the first verse and in the chorus. This to make a contrast to the soft picked guitar in verse.

More edge!

maybe... smiley

Erykah Badu meets Larry Graham. "Gott snack!" as we would say it in Sweden. Keep it up!
We Smoke So Much by Splifford 2 years ago
Rinca: I can't sing a note straight - I can only howl : ) It's Johan's great voice the whole song except for the last chorus where I come in.

hey man! it's good ****! I like the distorted clipping on vocals. suggestion: try put more distortion or nothing at all, or both in different parts of the song. maybe it's a little in between right now.

overall: nice, funky, groovy.
Freedom Blues by Splifford 2 years ago
Thanks Anders! After listening to your guitar I felt that the vocals needed more power to balance the guitar. So there I was howling in my microphone...poor neighbours! I'm very impressed that you nailed the mood and the right spaces to put in the guitar. Good work!
Freedom Blues by Splifford 2 years ago
Becwil: I agree with you it would be nice with an organ, but at the same time I kind of like the dry simple sound. I will think about it. Thanks for your lyrics and time!

Anders is unleashing his danish blues ligtning! I love it! Thanks Anders for collaboration!

Great guitar! Nice relaxed tune. This is funny! Would be nice to hear a version with a really catchy chorus that takes off and spins the song around.

Hey man, use a condom next time! Send me the original picture so I can take a chici-chici! smiley

Our Voice by johanevander 2 years ago
Very good tight bass. Good vocals (maybe a bit too far in the back).

Would be nice with a watch out-funky-break somewhere in the middle of the end solo (where the drum fill is and the horns come in). Similar to RHCP's Breakin the Girl at time code "3.03"

Peace out brother!

Ey pendejo!

Try singing like you did on the slow version of "We Smoke" on this track. Use the same lyrics just to try it out, then change them.

Funk on dude!

The song's picture, is it from your home video? It looks like a nightshot effect. That music with the nightshots, slow motion, comments from the car, a speaker; "The driver sat still. We sat very still, with our hearts pounding, hoping the elephants would continue on their way..."

That movie I would love to see. A poetic road movie from the heart of India!

This is really ****ed up blues and I like it!!!
How do you record it?
Bad Love Blues by Splifford 2 years ago
Barretok: Thanks! Well so be it...I'm a Mick Jones sound-a-like! haha
reddragon: Nice to hear that you appreciate the song and guitar play! How long? I don't know really; I came home from a Sven Zetterberg (Swedish blues guru) concert and wanted to do something bluesy, so it took me a couple of hours to get the foundation, then I wrote some lyrics and put them on the same night after that I have been mixing and changing many times. How long? Long! By the way; the sax is played on my midi keyboard through Garageband (horns).
