Very deep and emotional piece you have here.

Ahhh... relaxing, yet still surprising in it's loose structure and intriguing chord changes.
The Dark Sun (v2) by Mungo 2 years ago
You've scoured out my ear canal thoroughly!
Course but compelling modulations, these are...

Oh, and the art and title remind me of the latest release from Sun O))), which is also excellent... but you know that already, I bet.

Hey Mungo! Yeah, you are right... a video would be cool. But, since it started from bits of your music, then it would need to have something from you in the video... !!

Hey Tiler,

Just checked out the video on YouTube...!
Amazing to see you play.
Excellent work as usual!

ORANGE (in)balance by ORANGEAUDIO 5 years ago
Itchy synths chirping like birds... cool sounds at the mid and high ranges. I think the only thing this needs is a counter melody picked up in a big booty slammin' bassline to give it extra momentum.
PolyMorphedLanding(D&BMix) by SonicPressure_akaELSmith 5 years ago
Cool track you got here... I especially love that stuttering sound the strecthes out between the beats... it's very striking.
oo aa ee by Stun_Nutz 5 years ago
Thanks... you know, you are the second person to mention that.

It has been remixed already by one person (datafunk). He added some killer bass sweeps, among other things. Check it out here: http://www.macjams.com/song/22695

Also, if you'd like to take a stab at a remix, I am always open to new ideas... just let me know if you want the GB file.

The Walk by LWinston 5 years ago
Enjoyable production... the beats and playing had just the right energy to be pleasing, but not too easy.. I epsecially liked the laid back bass break near the end.

Do I hear a Skinny Puppy influence in there? This takes me back to my industrial club days... fun.

Great work here... that buzzing electro noise is fascinating
Walking In The Rain [Alessandra 's Voice] by archie7777 5 years ago
I enjoyed this song... my only thought was that the drums could have been strengthened a bit. Otherwise, this was pretty mesmerizing (I'm on my second listen as I type this).
Mars Attack by ponkey 5 years ago
Really fun tune, here... got the 50s flavor and peppy execution. I especially enjoyed the vocals.
Sand by nexusone 5 years ago
Nice mysterious heavy bass build up... reminds me of Massive Attack. I only felt like this should have had a little more of a climax to it. It started going somewhere and then it started ending! Anyway, it kept me interested...!
Never Satisfied by Joanna 5 years ago
Great lyrics and strong delivery... as always, coming from you! Hmmm... the music is not bad... effective, but it would be interesting to take this in a different direction... maybe someday!!!
Downbeaten by LowEndTheory 5 years ago
Hmmm... production sounded pretty good to me...! Bass was heavy, but I didn't mind. I guess it depends on where you listen to it. Anyway, this is a propulsive track... I am a sucker for all those percussive sounds and effects.
Flexible, animal, animal, Flexible by LCOX17 5 years ago
You've got a strong hook there with the marching synths... I enjoyed it. My only other thought was that it could have used another (alternate) section in there as a contrast, because it gets a little repetative.

Seriously, nice piece.
Very lively free jazz...

Thanks guys... and, to respond to you, Neumuzik... Ben Burtt and Star Wars was a huge influence on me as a kid and probably explains a big part of my love of noise and sound effects.

Two faves from one person? Alright!

Yeah, I had to record this on a day the wife and kids were absent. It felt good to let it out, though. The first time I screamed, the cat bolted out of the room like mad.

Thanks ELSmith...

very cool track...!
uTTer muTTer (Sound Circus) by AspersionDetergent 5 years ago
Nice otherworldy composition here... and, of course, I love the concept with the sounds made from human voices. This reminds me a little of Pink Floyd's ol' tune... I think it was called "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered ogether in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict"... crazy stuff!
C060606 by RAMZAR 5 years ago
Solid production, energizing sounds... reminds me of The Grid. Well done.

Crackman Remix and Redux by deputydoofy 5 years ago
Smoke a doobie is right... this is great! It has an almost classical music sensibility about it (with the way some of the melodies overlap). The pulsing and lumbering tones reminded me of Frankenstein. Wait... no... Frankencrack!
Give Op. by AspersionDetergent 5 years ago
This is sweeeeeeeeet! Candy for my ears.

YOu know, I agree with you completely about taking something negative and, though music, turning into something positive... it's a form of therapy...I am all about that. To me, music that is pretty and happy all the time is very one-dimensional.
Bloated Alchemy by AspersionDetergent 5 years ago
A lot of great stuff in this one... the twisted, yet harmonious, vocal parts, the scream into long burst of static, the guitar solo, and just the general overall textural distortion sound designs. Epic.
My Eyes Itch by AspersionDetergent 5 years ago
Ha...ha... nice one...
Bunny Stomp by AspersionDetergent 5 years ago
I can dig it. Noise rules! You know, with all that bunny stompin' going on, it would get quite messy and slippery on the dance floor, so everyone would be slipping and stomping on each other and then they would get bloody and then it would just be one big bloody orgy of boots and blood. Tasty.
SoundCircus PARTs by AspersionDetergent 5 years ago
Cool stuff here! I was intruiged. I use a lot of "found sounds" in my stuff as well.
Imperial Shrine by DjBaro 5 years ago
Another solid track here...! Overall synths and beats set a great mood... and then the cartoon noises and chipmunks balance it out with some humor.
Calling Angels by DjBaro 5 years ago
Cool piece... I am always a sucker for mysterious and menacing sounds.
L'amour a 20 ans (love at 20 y.o) by zefif 5 years ago
Nice structure and flow. Everything seems really well thought out and works. I like the recurring electronic noises and bells that come in near the end especially.
Unfinished Action Noir by anitric2000 5 years ago
Nice overall mood... I also enjoyed the quiter strings at the halfway point and the way they build back into the dramatic section.
Seek and Find by mattynew3000 5 years ago
I love the way you used the ambient synth background to add depth to the sound. In fact, I like almost everything about this... except it was way too short!! It could be developed a lot more, I think. (Unless you are going to use it as a sort of transition track between two other tracks... or maybe an intro or an outtro on a CD.) Anyway, keep at it... this was a cool trip.
Scion by evanisred 5 years ago
This was an enjoyable quirky trip... fun, upbeat and bouncy... nice use of sound effects as transitions. The scratching at the end was great. I didn't think it was too messy... it stuck to the beats well.
daydreams dissolved by Stun_Nutz 6 years ago
Hey, Orange... I was trying to contrast (and balance) the smooth tone of the piece with some edginess... and I see you got it with your "sweet" vs. "nasty" description... thanks for the constructive comments on the mix... it is always interesting to hear what people think in that regard.
MYOT: impossible nights by ponkey 6 years ago
Great tune here... enjoyed the vocal delivery, the guitar... the simplicity
Omni by nexusone 6 years ago
As ponder said, everything fit together well. I only wish it were a little less perfect and clean. There needs to be something a little more memorable thrown in there. Overall though, this was pretty cool, certainly not offensive to listen to...

pocket lizard by Stun_Nutz 6 years ago
Yeah... this tune is more like my day-to-day self... pretty darn goofy...just have fun, I agree.

As far as the meaning goes... the lizard in my pocket is a metaphor the wild and crazy side of yourself that you might usually keep hidden away. I actually "morph" into that at the end of the song.

I just noticed... your track was posted right next to mine!!! What a coincidence. I had this tune cued up at the other site for listening, but I figured I would leave a comment here. Man, this was a beautiful track. Wonderful playing, as usual... but there seemed to be a lot more electro-tweakiness going on! Do I sense a little influece _nder there? I also liked the many facets and changes this went through. Very engaging. Artwork is nice as well.
emission by Stun_Nutz 6 years ago
Thanks Miss C! I posted this back in October 2005 on MacJams... so I am gradually catching up to the present here. But, yeah, this was a thrill. I love trying different things with every tune.... and The Tiler, of course, is amazing.
time and space by RdG 6 years ago
Nice spaced-out tune with subtle shifts and changes. I think the only thing I was missing was a deep, warm, pulsing bass...
ORGAN TIME by RdG 6 years ago
The beats you use here and the underlying drone ties everything together nicely. I have used those organ loops before... they are pretty catchy, aren't they?

I liked the playful bounciness of this. If my cat made sounds like this on the piano, I would probably sit and stare, trasfixed on his dancing motions... as he jerks about like a marionette...
skitterboot by Stun_Nutz 6 years ago
Thanks for listening, Orange... this one was a case of just throwing a bunch of sh*t together and trying to make it work. Kinda like forcing a square peg in a round hole!! Glad you saw the humor in it...
gweilo by Stun_Nutz 6 years ago
One more thing... my wife is Chinese, so I had a particular fascination in blending traditional Chinese music with more modern western music... like hip hop, rock, and techno... see my other tunes "yellow river slam" and my remix of "Relaxation Spa Treatment".
gweilo by Stun_Nutz 6 years ago
Thanks, Orange...!

All I gotta say is that "borrowing" CDs from the library can give you a lot of inspiration... you can find some interesting stuff there... in this case, it was a CD of traditional Chinese music... I hope I don't get arrested for my sampling!!!
Ain't No Way by Stun_Nutz 6 years ago

FREAKS by ORANGEAUDIO 6 years ago
Not a bad chill track here... I liked the "freak" voice and a lot of the pulsed precision percussion. I only wished it were a little noisier... cuz freaky to me means noisy!!! (but that's just my opinion)

Damn! That was sweet!! Sophisticated beats engaging on many levels and overall consistently great! A lot of sonic depth here. This is one of the best tunes of yours I have heard so far... keep mixing!
4e14 two hundred and sixty eight million four hundred and thirty five thousand four hundred and fifty six by ponkey 6 years ago
Wow... that was an incredibly beautiful minimal "post-rock" piece... the shred of melody that goes through and is echoed by the fluttering backing tones has a great emotional quality to it. I truly enjoyed this. Very well done.

Thanks yohmar... it's more abstract singing, like "ooh", etc. (no lyrics)... all of the "voices" that you hearing.

This is really great... the overall vibe, the instrumentation, your voice... It hit the spot on this dreary Tuesday morning.
Suzy's Lab by borris 6 years ago
I feel like a bobblehead... your tune... it's so bouncy! I can't hear the words, so I won't comment on those, but the overall vibe is sweet ... love that reggae injected beat. That effected voice also adds to my elation. This is the answer to one funky equation.
Pull back the Shadows by FrozenEntropy 6 years ago
The guitar adds a richness and detail to this track... I like how it fades in and out of the ambient synths and doesn't take over... oh, I just realized that I said the same thing as ORANGEAUDIO...!
Alient Invasion by 11schest 6 years ago
I am a sucker for sound effects! I like the squiggly effects that jab in... and the mysterious drone was nice way to tie it together. You mentioned three parts... an attack, cleanup, then rescue... to me, it felt like two parts... a mysterious buildup and a soothing ending (with the enya-like singing). I didn't really feel an "attack", but I guess I was expecting louder, faster, noises. Either way, it was a cool piece and I listened intently, twice.

Cry On My Pillow by fossile 6 years ago
Nice guitar work here... it adds a nice layer of detail. What's surprising about this song is that it doesn't sound like a typical kids' tune... at least, the way you have performed it here. The mood is hazy like a smoke filled room and your voice does sound a little strange (weary?), but it makes the tune intersting.
Welcome to the moon by noglobalman 6 years ago
The mysterious sounds and subtle tweaks in production make this an interesting piece. Those pulsing chords are nice as well... they make the tune pleasant to listen to.
