My name is Joseph Sverker and I have just recently moved backed to Sweden after five years of studies in London.
My main music influences have probably been Jimi Hendrix (that's why I play the guitar at all), the Beatles, Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Mahalia Jackson and many others of course. I should mention two Swedish acts here as well, Cornelis Vreeswijk, an amazing songwriter and singer and a children's act called Trazan och Banarne.
I try to write songs that are earthy and soulful. My aim is to have written and recorded a song that combines the best qualities och Van Morrison and Terry Callier. I let you know if I think I have succeeded, I don't think I ever will, but you never know!
