Help Me!!!! by Geechi3 3 months ago
What the piano player has to say would be very important if he were your accompanist, because then you would need to make sure that both of you were using the same style. But this piano player isn't Louis Armstrong, he's just voicing his opinion. Your opinion is important too. You will perform best if you are singing how you like to sing. To your audience, your style may be much more appealing than the piano players. I love Jazz, but I am still young enough that I'm not incredibly well-versed in it. Frank Sinatra sang really long an connected, and that's the way I personally prefer it. What is important is that your music sounds good, not that it's "right". Just relax and believe in yourself! Have confidence, on this track you sounded unconfident in your talking (not so much your singing), that, to an audience, makes a very bad first impression. When you "announce yourself" be happing, radiant, and confident. The nervousness of performing is a hard-to-come-by sensation, enjoy it!

Hope I helped!

Complements: This was amazing! Your voice is perfect for this kind of style.

Question: by "tribute to Bach", does that mean that you are singing one of his pieces, or did you compose one to the same style in his honor?
