| Until I get an external mic, I can only record acoustic through the built-in microphone in my powerbook. There is unavoidable (albeit unfortunate) computer noise that I can't get rid of.... I can't afford a new mic right now, but after I buy a new car window, front door and make a couple other payments of things, i should be all clear... i might as well wait until I get more RAM as well, since I can't run more than a couple of tracks more than 3 minutes long with just the 512 I have. | |

| Well, I seem to have accidentally erased the GB file I made this with, so I am left with no choice but to spend a couple hours making a decent track. Can you drag the horn lines into an organ track and have them played on organ? I like a couple of the horn lines, but I agree, they don't sound anywhere near as good as the strings, drums or bass do in GB's sound library. |

| Agreed on all counts. See my reply to your other post. I just (poorly) recorded another one, I like it, I'm just mapping out the tracks really. Frustrations abound. I don't really like the sound of my PRS plugged in for these songs, kind plunky clean and it's not really the right sound. I will have to get a mic after I make rent this month and the acoustic recordings will be vastly improved. I am really viewing all of these recordings as really rough "hey it works, sort of" |

| I need to improve my setup. Even though I am using headphones to monitor the tracks, I am getting three slightly out of sync metronome tracks (maybe from the reverb)... also I have been getting very frustrated with the built in mic on my powerbook because it sounds great but ruins so many takes when the fan starts spinning, looks like I need a $100 sony microphone to run into the computer. So I've just been getting frustrated and going ahead with the tracks. I'm still just experimenting 20 minutes here, 5 there etc. |

| It's not all correctly matched up, I had a class get cancelled and made this really quickly just to try and make something with the program and figure it out. I will definitely put something together of better caliber, I just wanted to see if I could give it the feel of a blues thing.... | |
