![]() Your production kicks some serious hiney, bro. This is beautifully transparent. It is just reminiscent of your other work to be quite vos-like without being rehashed or a simple regurgitation. Alot of fresh ingredients keep it so. You're a master at the less-is-more thang, as opposed to my more is more thang. Once again, great use of space and disparate elements that is greater than the sum of its parts. Kudos, tin man |

![]() You have such a touch, bro. You're production always sounds excellent. What mic are you using here? It sounds supernaturally clear. simple, stunning, and evokative; you're usual fare. That could have gone on much longer. Good work. tin man |

| Can't go home (completed) by JHarley | 1 year ago |
![]() your stuff is just so good. great use of dissonance. you really do a good job of mixing your textures to achieve separation and space to tremendous effect. another thing, i love songs that create an atmosphere for the listener to curl up in and take a wee trip - this song accomplishes that in spades. and the more maudlin the better, as far as i'm concerned. great work, as always. tin man |

| Life Is Long (I Can't Have It) by JHarley | 2 years ago |
![]() this is freakin' incredible J. the opening groove is strong and hooky as all get out. the mix is really good. very cohesive. this is just a great song, and one to file in the "i-wish-i-would-have-written-that" folder. cheers, mate. thanks for sharing. i don't know if it's just the download or what, but the levels peaked a few times and your vocal clipped out. regardless, i'm totally sucked into the vortex of this tune, bro. listening through for the third time, tin man |

| Resurrected by btransue | 2 years ago |
![]() good god, b! this is awesome. the production is incredible for "resurrecting" an old four-track recording. it's so seamless, you'd never know about the 25 year time chasm. i was listening to all the same stuff back then, too (and still am). yeah, i'm all 12 minutes in and this has totall kept me wrapped. thanks so much for this. i know the work that goes into production like this. thanks to Elder, too for turning me onto to this offering. cheers, tin man |

![]() oh dude... as much as i respect Orange, this thing has vibe for days. I love the vintage synth thang you got cookin' here. it's used very well, and when all is said and done, the music is very strong. more than Harold F., this kind of reminds me of Jean Luc Ponty's "Gift of Time" era recordings, which is a compliment in the highest regard. the production is really nice; very transparent. i diggity, yo. thanks for sharing. tin man |
|
| Opethy by samboway | 2 years ago |
![]() good production... ... nice tones, too. the lead tone in the beginning put me in mind of old Steve Hackett; just for a bit. again, the concept is really rich and deep, and i love the opeth ref. you have quite a gift for weaving these winsome tapestries that are really wonderfully dreamy. i diggity. the lead has a few awkward moments toward the end i'd concentrate on a wee bit more. still, great stuff. i'm looking forward to hearing the whole magnum opeth... ... i mean opus. cheers, tin man |

![]() This is a great melody. Is that you playing bass? I love the bass riffs. The main guitar part is beautiful (I'm not really enamored of the lead tone). This really is a diamond in the rough, bro. Big props. I encourage you to explore this a little more. There's a lot of meat left on that bone. bon appetit, tin man |

| Remember John Cope by Tinseltown | 2 years ago |
| excellent. thanks for the open and honest feedback. this was an idea i wanted to get down before it worked its way out of a raw state and into something else. the additional instrumentation i had in mind is cello, concert chimes, eBow guitar, and of course, mellotron. it kind of sounds like we're all hearing the same thing, so that's a good sign. thank you all for listening! tin man |

| better by Tinseltown | 2 years ago |
| i'm humbled and extemely gratified by your comments. i'm usually given to much more lush arrangements and i felt a bit naked on this offering, but i do like the direction i'm heading with this. the blue snowball mic records instruments beautifully but is ultra sensitive with vocals. it's very easy to clip, even with the 10 dB pad switched on. thank you again and keep listening. there will be more like it but with better recording, hopefully. |

| Teranova (Sweeper Mix) by DigitalGreyOrchestra | 2 years ago |
![]() Sensuous, beautiful, and very evocative. Excellent work. My only critique is a tightening of the production to give it a more cohesive feel. Some elements seem slightly disparate. But that is really splitting hairs. Great work. Thank you so much sharing. tin man |

![]() Great vibe. This has cool hues and textures that border on being eerie, and in a great way. The production is very strong and well done. I keep wanting to hear a subtle harmony or a hook that makes this its own entity. The artwork is perfect too, for whatever reason. Very good effort over all. Thank you for sharing. tin man |

![]() Nice. Again, you've got a great touch for mix. Very listenable. There's a lot going on, but the mix never gets in the way. Man, this had to take some work if there's no loops. My hat's off. I know what you mean about techno. It's never been a favourite of mine either, but it is the shizzle to play with, no? |

![]() Talented AND prolific. Darn dude, do you ever sleep? I've been listening to a lot of your stuff, and it's all quality. Excellent mixes, good textures, and a LOT of work, I know. Your stuff has quite a bit of what I like to call the trip factor. You feel like you're always going somewhere when you're listening. Your use of filters and effects are really, well... effective, for lack of a better term. Keep up the good work. Thanks so much for sharing. tin man |

| Reflections by e3mw | 2 years ago |
![]() I like this. I'm with euro on this; It is very visually evocative. You use textures very nicely on this and the added dimension gives it that imagery, I think. I like your tendancy to add simple piano melodies. There's a melancholy quality to it that's very cool Good job, man. Actually I like both the mix and the eq of this one. It's all down to individual tastes, I guess. Kudos. Thanks for sharing. tin man |

| Now I Know by LWinston | 2 years ago |
![]() Good work. It really is. I really like the breaks and the modulation towards the end did release some of the tension. The mix and production are really nice, too. I don't think you're done with this track though, bro. There's a lot of meat left on the bone, y'know? Leave it alone for a little while and then revisit it. There's a lot of potential in melody and bass movement. Paul Valéry once wrote, "a poem is never finished, only abandoned." This poem shouldn't be abandoned just yet. tin man |
|
| Snowfall by e3mw | 2 years ago |
![]() Wonderfully evocative from the song's title to the wistful progression. Nice use of the loops to create texture. My only critique is a matter of taste; I would have liked the production to be a bit more dynamic. It was a hair static for me. You really could have upped the trip factor by using some filters in choice spots... Then again, e3mw, I've listened to this three times to come to that conclusion, so you're already doing something right. Cheers, tin man |

![]() Beautiful chord voicings and progression in the piano vamp. This is seriously beautiful stuff. You're in under your head here at iComp, I'm afraid. You're playing is light years ahead of the norm. I would love to produce your stuff. That would be just be a gas. I kind of hear a fat, warm, Yellowjackets "Greenhouse" kind of feel for this tune. Regardless, great work. Please keep 'em coming. tin man |

| The Song That Never Ends by dyslexia5688 | 2 years ago |
![]() You've done a good job of keeping the mix upfront without it detracting from the overall ambiance of the tune. It's really strange. Your stuff is like listening to performance art. kind of jump-cut in its presentation, but very entertaining at the same time. Kind of a weird ending. Like prose, it doesn't end, it just kind of stops. Still, I listened to it twice. Keep on with the voodoo that you do, bro. tin man |

| Thanks, folks. I appreciate the kind words. This is an older piece that I just recently reworked with the mello flutes. Art, you'll love this. I was getting my guitar synth trigger (Godin ACS nylon string) refretted. While the frets were pulled I took it into the studio and used it to play the upright bass parts. I really liked the way it came out. Glad you did, too. Stay tuned. |

![]() Excellent work here, RLS, as usual. While not as polished as your usual fare (being one of your first GB tunes) it still has plenty of what makes you one heck of a RedLunarSkywalker. Good production work, evocative chord changes, and as always, great trip factor. Hmmm.... I'm not sure I'd use the word soporific to describe this tune. Isn't that a bit of a pejorative? Let's just call it wonderfully relaxing. |

![]() Oh, this is just too flippin' cool. I like the male vocal. It sounds oddly close in opposition to the distant space of much of the other elements. Very cool. I love the guitar parts. ![]() subtlety and production are your calling cards, dude. both are sparkling. you should be very proud of this. you've got the "less is WAY more" thing down. ![]() Again, dude, beautiful tapestry of sound. Very effective atonal elements with the... ... is that a whurly? Whatever it is, very cool. It moves unexpectedly, like a Satie movement. I think to call this repedetive (sic) is missing the point. I really like it, V. It has some of the "high road home" type ostinato that lays some good groundwork to either support, or work against. As always, very good production value. Very easy on the ears. thumbs up, brother o' mine. tin man |

![]() really cool beginning. very intriguing. jeez dude, is this trippy! this trance kind of ambience really isn't my thing, but I really couldn't stop listening. i think that's a fairly good sign that you're on to something. the mix is really nice. very good separation and depth. excellent work. perhaps a little melody somewhere. this is a great concept but everything needs a hook, and the vox bit is to repetitive to be one. really excellent work, though. i'd love to see a visualization to this piece. tin man |

| it is all GB loops. i have a good time taking them apart, moving them around, modulating them, or just seeing how close i can get them to sound like something else, entirely. the only song i have here that has any of my actual playing on it is "evensong." i recorded an actual mellotron for that song at a friends house and brought the files home. i can't wait to hook up a keyboard. i'm starting to feel claustrophobic! thanks for the kind remarks. i'm an admirer of your work, as well. tin man |

![]() Girlfriend, this song had me sucked in early and I listened to the whole thing TWICE! That is, ironically, a first. This really has a nice, distant, somewhat austere edge to it. It's kind of cold, and I imagine that was intended. Very nice, very... rather Corinne Drewery, isn't it? I think you need to work on the production a little, however. You're right that it needs a little work; but just a little. Great stuff. Explore this area further. I'm very interested in hearing more like it from you. tin man |

![]() You do chill very well. I stand corrected... this is my favorite piece of yours. The piano in the deep background is fab. ...just fab. Ooooh, good trip factor. this is kind of what I was talking about in my other critiques. this is a more adventerous mix, with instruments deep in the mix that gives it depth and intrigue. Wow, that could have gone on for a LOT longer. Oh, try submitting one song at a time. You'll get more listens and more thorough feedback if you do. tin man |

![]() Really nice. My favorite piece of yours, by far. This is unbelievably similar to a piece that I just submited here, "rain on the S curve." Listen to it. The similarities are cool, and the differences are very interesting, as well. You and I heard very similar things when we downloaded that electric piano loop. I'd still encourage you to push the concepts deeper. I'd like to hear where you take them. This is someting that others have pushed me to do as well, and the results have been very cool. Also, don't be afraid to get a little adventerous with the mix and production. Keep up the good work, brother o' mine. tin man |

| Release by vlipscom | 3 years ago |
![]() Very good mix, but the mids get away from you a little in the slow glowing loop. Also, if you used the rhythm loop with, what sounds like, the breath in it a bit more sparingly, it would have a greater impact. Overall, however, I liked it. You've got good mix qualities. It's easy on the ears for the most part, but consider the trip factor. Where do you want it to take people? Where are you visualizing it, yourself? I'm certain that this is probably effective with whatever scene it was created for in the aforementioned film, but it needs to go deeper. tin man |

![]() hey bro. these lyrics aren't lame. they sound pretty honest to me, and i'm a tough sell. i'll take honesty over contrived profoundness any day. listen to a bass and drum mix of a band you really like and try to emulate it. compare and contrast this track to that one. it helps. anyway, good effort. keep working on your production. it's a little mid rangish and the drums are muddy, but it is a good song - kind of jars of clay-ish. i'd like to hear more. fire when ready, tin man |
