| Ah ****! You write something else I don't find often. FYI I did a community service project over two years with high school kids creating a bluebird trail through our town. Put up nest boxes all over and going to keep doing it till we hear news reports that blues are taking over the world. Nurturing life is a fine hobby. Watching it grow and thrive is a fine reward. | TWISTED ******* SISTER is my favorite band EVER! Ever... EVER! ...and this is of course their most well known tune ever. I've used these words to get me through a lot of times when I could have rolled over belly up but decided the fight was worth it... even when loss was unavoidable. I've seen Twisted Sister perform it live many times over many years. You did a great job all around but I offer you this. You need to sing this one angry. Spit the words with fire. Hate your audience while you perform it. Sing it like you think nothing of who ever is listening. This song, although it has a pop feel with a rock and roll medal edge is an obvious protest tune. Although the true listener is motivated by your words, the words are directed at the enemy. Sing it with contempt and hate and animosity and hostility and spite. Punctuate the resentment you have for how you have been treated and make your words into venom that will send giants running in fear and tumbling to the ground. Your rancor is what the listener will identify with. MTV may have made this one seem a little silly back in the 80s but it is a serious song of protest. I have always viewed it as one of the greatest songs ever written. It is a song that has changed me and has continued to direct me in how I live my life. Arrrrrr... everyone has those little things that keep them going. This song is one of mine. Hope I wasn't too tough on your performance. You all did a great job. Trilo |
