I really dig your style, you put everything into it and it shows. Great work, once again!

Thank you both, this project was done in only two days so there are still a few snags... I'm also working on a video, I'll post the link when it's done.
Closer {NIN Cover} by RAVENS 2 years ago
Yeah! That's the spirit, what an incredible cover. Well, it's a brand new song now and as much as I like the Nails, I think I prefer your version! We can hear your feelings in your voice. NICE!

Thanks to all!

@ angela_hope: Yep, my first recorded singing ever. Like everyone else, I normally only sing in the shower... This was my first voice recording.

@ RavingRedHead: As soon as you play music or sing, you're a musician and I have the uttermost respect for musicians, whatever their favorite style. I'll take the time to listen to some of your "old fart" songs soon. Thank you and get better!

Dark lord, I summon thee, demanding the sacred right... To hear more!!!

Wow, this song is what my music will sound like in a thousand years if I keep practicing and learning recording techniques.

The guitar work is superb, the bass is a little "echo-ish" but I guess that's what you get with a Fender bass. Light years ahead of my own work, nonetheless!

And the solo, at last someone who's not afraid to solo hard! Nice, 5 stars everywhere.

Thanks, I forgot about "get the money motherf..."

Explicit to say the least! Sorry, I'm kinda new around here. Fixed!
Moods (Five) - It Ends in Torment by albumflaps 2 years ago
Like you said, you pushed the guitar too hard in the mix. Otherwise, the song is superb and the solo is great: reminds me of Satriani with a Vai vibe, if possible! Nice distorted sound too, I like how you restrain yourself until the end. Great song overall.

Great work, I like how the guitar sound is powerful but you restrain it with your playing style. Definitely one of my favorite as of now!

Thanks to all!

@ Humaniversally: The 7/4 was at the request of my friend, I'm not very good on that if I don't have a solid player with me.

@ pharmakeus: Thank you! My friend Fred V is responsible for the groove! BTW, there is NO bass in the song, the "bass" you hear is performed on the guitar by Fred V again. NO effects, just more bass in the EQ of that specific track. I created the beat in about 5 minutes, just took a 4/4 beat created before and cut it to bring it to 7/4.

All hail to the Multiac guitar! I liked this song, wish I could own one of those synth guitar too but you know, lefties are doomed when it comes to special guitars...

Another deep song, your work is very complex, yet it's never complicated: you spend more energy on feeling and atmospheres. That's why your songs are so soothing. Flabbergasted again!

Nice syncopated tempo, the guitar picking in incredibly accurate and present. The solos are so dynamic, I'm learning something every time I hear you. Very deep mix, very deep song: brought me to a better place!

I jumped to this song because I wanted to hear your solo playing. I wasn't disappointed! This is incredible, given the lack of tools used in the original recording. The sound may be a little bit too compressed, but it gives a unique vibe to the song. Amazing guitar, to say the least. Props!

Solid song! I liked it, an instant classic. Nice guitar work and great lyrics.

Who doesn't like the Samba?

Very nice work, especially the combination of different guitar sounds and tenor sax. The electric solo is mad, very Di Meola-esque. I also liked the jazzy keyboards, is it you playing it too? Because I can hear a guitar approach on the keyboard solo! I'll browse through your playlist for sure after hearing that!
Anvil of Crom: Tribute to Basil Poledouris. Orchestral arranged for Guitars. by Underworldream 2 years ago
@ tokai2: Man, you couldn't compliment me more! Mr Oldfield is already a top notch guitar player and multi-instrumentalist of genius. Wish I could dub myself a multi-instrumentalist too but I only play guitars and bass. My motto is: use the guitar to emulate any sound you want to hear! That's the spirit of this project: the original song is an orchestral work, I try to render it with only guitars and bass. Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it!

@ telecaster29:

Thanks for the tip! To be honest, I thought about it but after spending many hours just on the volume envelope, I didn't have the courage to spend as much time on the stereo panning. Besides, the mixing session is still available, I'll let some time pass and THEN get back to the session and use stereo panning. This is a recreational project so: no deadline! Thanks again for the hindsight, I look forward to hearing your work.

@ Humaniversally:

Thank YOU for bringing me here! Next free time I get, I spend it on listening to your music. See you at random in the Parc someday!

Very inspirational story, with the perfect song to go with. Also very personal, that's the main strength of the song! Kudos and sympathies.

Awesome work, I had to calibrate my speakers for the bass sound! Very good tempo, it's like a battle between the bass and the guitar, with no bloodshed. Well done and looking forward to hearing your other songs!

Fred here, from Parc Lafontaine.

Great work, very relaxing and deep. Love the seagulls, they sooth my restlessness. Your guitar work dropped me from my chair! I started with this song but I intend to browse upward until I've heard everything! I'll give 5 stars overall because I'm in awe in front of the complexity of your work. The concept, creativity and performance are top notch so it's well deserved. To MY standards, the production is A-1, by the way.

Flawless!
