![]() As I told Thoddi, he may be the King of the Blues on this site, but you sure rule the harmonica for this site. |

![]() By all means, excellent. |

![]() Maybe the lead guitar could be a little more up front in spots, but you were probably trying to keep everything equal, which you did. Nice job. You're right it does sound a little like Dave Gilmour in Genesis. Dave Gilmour in Genesis? I bet that will be right after the Pink Floyd reunion. |

![]() Very nice. You just might be the King of the Blues on this site. Are you giving up any secrets on how you record your guitar? |
|
| Stu Hamm Bass Solo by Andy Flees | 7 years ago |
![]() Sweet and Simple. Sometimes that's the best. And in no way do I mean simple as an insult. |
|
| Big Yawn (redo) by toots | 7 years ago |
![]() 16 plays so far and no ratings, I'll never understand. I thought it was great, like I said before you get some nice textures from your guitar and I like the rhythms in the song. You have something I don't, which is song writing and vocal ability. |
|
| Red House by inkubus4511 | 7 years ago |
![]() I think this is a nice stripped down version. It sounds like there are no effects used. If you sang more verses it would be even better. Your vocals with your guitar sounded good together. |

| adrift&unbound v2 by toots | 7 years ago |
| Milke Fuller's Fulltone products are probably some of the best. I have a Fulldrive 2, Deja Vibe, Distortion Pro, etc, etc. Not cheap, but the best. And yes I also use a Crybaby. Not many people talk guitar here, so it's nice to hear the facts every now and then. Thanks. | |

![]() I like alot of the different textures you get from your guitar. Can't go wrong with DOD. |

![]() Beautiful piano work. If I understand right your a teacher, so you have the summer off from work? I'm jealous. |
|
| Ice Dream by jibes | 7 years ago |
![]() Very nice chord work. I also know you have a fine voice, but this song was great by itself. |
|
| Bird by toots | 7 years ago |
![]() I listened to several of your other songs and I kept coming back to this one. I like the full sound that your getting. Lately I'm running into songs that sound really good only to find out they were not recorded in GB. I don't know if this was recorded using GB, but either way I think it sounds great. |

| Solo Slide guitar: Jesus is on the Mainline by Daddio | 7 years ago |
![]() I basically rated this for what it is, a slide guitar showcase and I thought it was good. I think you were going for a scat type thing and that's why the vocals are in the background. I commented on your harp song that there was a little background noise and if your using the Mac mic on this tune then yeah there's a little noise but I think the slide sound is great. Have you tried editting the beginning and end to try and delete noise? My comments are based on perfection which I'll never achieve but I can't pick on your playing. |

| Can't quit you babe by BeanBand | 7 years ago |
![]() I've seen your other uploads so we all know where these tapes come from. So I just gave you a 5 for what they are, great old blues tunes. Love the guitar in this one. Actually I gave you a 4.5 but added .5 for saying it wasn't a Led Zepplin cover. Just kidding. |
|
| Let it go by Ken Pinkstaff | 7 years ago |
![]() There's no denying that this is a good sounding track. Was it done with GB? iTunes has it as 2002. |
|
| Sunrise for Naiya by Chirpa5150 | 7 years ago |
![]() Definitely has the Allman Brothers feel. I like how you have your metal thing going and are able to slow it down like this. Do get me wrong a hard rocking metal song is cool too, I just think you show you're versatile. If you're adding piano and harmony, even if you don't play bass, may be a little keyboard droning bass would round this out. I like it. |

| When She Walked In (Original version) by DaveM | 7 years ago |
![]() I listened to your other posts also and you are all over the place style wise. Seams like your having fun and have caught the GB bug. This song is by far the best. Love that laid back Strat in the back ground. Yeah, its generic, but it's also very good generic. |
|
| Baby Please Don't Go by BeanBand | 7 years ago |
![]() I know these were your old tapes and remakes of some classic blues tunes, but you remain true to that time period style wise. I would really like to here you do something totally in GB. Is that possible? Maybe these tapes were so old that they are from the original time period and there is no longer a Bean Band. What part did you play in the band? I know too many questions but I'd like to hear more. |

| Barbie's Letter by Blacklilyorchard | 7 years ago |
![]() Someone will probably think you went too heavy on the phaser, but I think you built the song around it and it works. I like the double vocal sound. As for the lead guitar, work out a couple notes and it will pass, we all have to start somewhere. |

| Left blue by Sverker | 7 years ago |
![]() So simplistic and so beautiful at the same time. Great job by both you and ssstebbe. I want to know what took you guys so long. You gave the track to ssstebbe yesterday, he returned it to you yesterday and you posted it today. Just kidding. Again great job. Maybe after a couple of days you should move this to the collaboration section, there are only 13 post over there. You would be noticed everytime someone entered that area. Just a thought, I could be wrong. |

| Open Wound (v3) by Agrippa93 | 7 years ago |
![]() I don't know much about Techno Metal so it can be hard to rate some of the different styles you here on this site. But you seem to consistently try to turn out songs that are true to your style. I have to give you credit for going back to previous posts and making them better, that's something I generally don't do unless I take a beating in the ratings. When I here your songs they are always recognizable as yours. |
|
| No Amnesty by Candorwien | 7 years ago |
![]() I like this song the best out of all that you have posted, even though the others are quite good. I obviously am more partial to guitar based songs and this has some excellent playing. While your vocals are different I think they fit and you have your own stlye, nothing wrong with that. |

| Twelve Bars (Remix) by Z293 | 7 years ago |
| Thanks everyone. Again all I did was lower the volume and EQ one track. It's a lesson well learned, one track can ruin a whole song. I wish I could abide by the rule of listening to a song for a couple of days before posting, but I can't, this site is to addictive. And Candorwien believe me you do not want to here my singing, if you thought the guitar was grating on the other tune, my voice could make your ears bleed... |
|
| Twelve Bars (Remix) by Z293 | 7 years ago |
| My typical set is a Fender Precision Bass and a Fender Strat Guitar run through a Ibenez TS9DX (Tube Screamer), Johnson J-Station (Amp Modeler) and Blue Tube Stereo Preamp recorded direct. Drums On Demand loops were use for the drums. I'd use more loops but I can't find a way to duplicate all my mistakes. | |
| Twelve Bars (Remix) by Z293 | 7 years ago |
| As Candorwien pointed out the original rhythm guitar was grating, whether the production deserved a one? Well, you should have heard it before I posted it. Most of my stuff sounds muddy to me because I'm always trying to overcome the harshness of digital recording and I also always play it loud which overcomes the muddyness. If anyone has tips on EQ, settings, etc... Let me know. I've always lacked on the production side so any help is appreciated. |

![]() Greetings from America. The vocals in German make it and the organ is an unexpectant surprise and lets not forget the sheep. |

| While You Were Gone by Pixiemixer | 7 years ago |
![]() I thought that was really good, I don't know if you played the bass and guitar, I like the outro guitar solo. At times it reminded me of Tommy Bolin. |

| Take 1 by Beaker | 7 years ago |
| Welcome to the minority, guitar players that lay down a groove to improvise over. I think you did a fine job of a Carlos tribute. When you added more distortion to the guitar in the beginning I think it blended nicely. | |
| Weird by ArthurDambuster | 7 years ago |
| Excellent bass playing as always. How do you get that bass sound. Are you using a fretless? EQ? Effects? Oh, yeah it's talent. | |
| A homecoming by Sverker | 7 years ago |
| As always great tune. Really like your vocals on this one. | |
| Amazonia by JazzSnake | 7 years ago |
| I usally hang out in the rock category, but I like to come over to the jazz section for ideas and inspiration. Tone with me is always number one, even though I may not always achieve it, you definitely have a nice clear tone. | |
| Easy (Mellow Blues) by ivanjs | 7 years ago |
| All right, It takes me awhile to get around to listen to everyone's music. I knew you were an excellent bass player that was also moving toward lead guitar, but you seem to be a fast learner. If that is you playing guiar excellent job, if not.....still excellent job. I'll get to your other posts someday. I still want to get to your other collaboration. I also started on bass before moving to guitar, but never really learn either one that well. | |
| Morphine by JARET | 7 years ago |
| Well you definitely figured out how to make it sound live. By added crowd noise is an obvious way but your vocals especially sound live. Normally I don't like live recordings but I think yours adds to your song. Your guitar's tone is also good, I'm guessing it was miked, because I haven't figured out how to get that feedback. | |
| Planet Metal (remixed) by aktm | 7 years ago |
| Can I least change your guitar strings for you? Very impressive, especially plugging directly in. Some people can make anything sound good. | |
| Moonlight by gost | 7 years ago |
| Your voice reminds of someone and I just can't figure out who it is. Now I've got your song stuck in mind. Thanks a lot. Nice job. | |
| Do I Have The Words by gsharp | 7 years ago |
| I have been meaning to get back to this post to let you know that is some voice you have. Great Job. | |
| In The Eyes Of Mary by Z293 | 7 years ago |
| You guy's give me way too much credit. Giovanni I would be honored. I have a couple of things going with gsharp, but I'd like to hook up with you also. Both of you have been supportive. Now I'm might be forced to play more than the old blues scales, but I'm up for it. By the way I hate the lead guitar in this post, I mellowed out the tone a little and hope to redo it with added vocals from gsharp. Have you heard that guy sing? |
|
| As Only You Can by giovanni | 7 years ago |
| I've rated some of your other post based strictly on talent, but this song I really like. I envy your song writing ability. I'm no expert, obviously listen to my stuff, but your quality of songs amazes me. The mixing, the sound quality, on and on..... Is this actually recorded in GB? I have a dedicated room for recording on ADAT but since GB I sit in my kitchen with GB. | |
| Always The Lion by giovanni | 7 years ago |
| You ever notice how many people say I'm not into musicals, I have said it myself, but still consistently give you high ratings. Because good music can always be recognized as being good no matter what the genre. I swear I saw a gospel tune on here by you this morning, but by the time I got back to give it a listen it was gone. Oh well. |

| Smoothed by Z293 | 7 years ago |
| Thank you to you both. Constructive criticism is always welcomed. I only put about a half hour into this version, so the mistakes are there, but I had to put this up so I could sleep tonight. A sustaining note sounds like good a idea, because I still haven't figured out what gsharp is playing. | |
| Smooth Final ( for Mustang_jp ) by gsharp | 7 years ago |
| I listened to this the other day and thought I'd also like to give it a try, but I didn't know if that was acceptable seeing how it looks like you and mustang_jp have a deal going. I appreciate the offer and would like to give it a go. I love fusion stuff and am starting to study it deeper, it's a little over my head but you have got to keep trying. My mentor, two words, Greg Howe. That will make you put your guitar away for good. | |
| Bassed Out Revisited by Z293 | 7 years ago |
| ivanjs, this was my first collaboration and I wanted it to be better, but I tried. The idea of collaborating is very intriguing. I'm sure styles will clash, but that can make things interesting. Your rhythm section was smokin'. | |
| Bassed Out (Bass & Drum Jam) by ivanjs | 7 years ago |
| Nice bass work. Are you recording direct? I downloaded your song to see what kind of guitar I could come up with, seeing how you asked for some collaboration. If I can't do it justice I won't post it. | |

| Blues based rock, gotta love it. | |
| Lost Again by Z293 | 7 years ago |
| Except for one of the other posts I have here, all are real instuments except for drums. I am using Drums On Demand loops. The rest is Fender Precision Bass and a Fender Strat played through a Johnson J-Station amp modeler and of course everything is tweaked in Garage Band which I'm still learning. I have an Alesis Adat that is now gathering dust. | |
| He's An Animal! by giovanni | 7 years ago |
| Well, it's time to pay you back for all your ratings you have recently given me. But thats not why I gave you a five, while it is not my style I can appreciate the quality of the song writing and vocal abilities. | |
| Melt by Z293 | 7 years ago |
| Thanks for the compliments, I never expected such a warm welcome. But I don't think Malmsteen needs to worry. Well, better get back to practicing the arpeggios. | |
