Biography
(My latest songs will be up there. The rest of it follows below.)
Buongiorno. I'd like to call myself Zip Zipper. I wish I had a better singing voice to incorporate into my music, but I like making instrumentals more, so I guess it doesn't really matter. I'm 20, so I'm quite young and most certainly very clueless. My favorite color is a beach with an amusement park in the background and I love the idea of being suspended on wires, floating around a crowd of people shopping in a big mall.
My greatest musical inspiration comes from Yann Tiersen, Imogen Heap, Two Steps From Hell, and Cirque Du Soleil. Sometimes I dream of composing for Cirque Du Soleil and/or films, but my low self-worth tells a different story. I taught myself how to play the keyboard by ear when I was a small child and have been musically inclined since then. So far, the only program I use is GarageBand and I've been songwriting with it for about two years now. Other talents of mine include acting and drawing. I've performed in a couple of theatrical productions and still continue to do so. I've also been drawing even before I started teaching myself music. Isn't that grand?!
As for my music, some people relate it to the kind of work that Danny Elfman
makes for Tim Burton. I love 3/4 and 6/8 time signatures. This could be highly due to my love for waltz-like music, as well as creepy circus music, but that's just a theory. I like minimalism, which portrays monotony and simplicity. But it irks me how simple yet captivating minimalism is, not with just music but all forms of art. How come people are tricked into adoring the beauty in things that are painfully plain? And I like bass beats and electronic music, in general. So if you smush that all together then, collectively, that's what my music sounds like.
If anything about this is appealing to you, then I suggest you take a listen to something of mine. If this biography section isn't likable to the point of being totally intolerable, well...goodbye!
