Thank you everybody, and to you, Bob! It was great fun. I look forward to doing it again. We should plan an iWoodstock!

Thanks. Sorry, there's no video. We put the camera on a tripod facing up, in the center midst, so we were all equidistant from it. I forget the brandname of the camera, but I think it worked out great. I don't know about all cameras, but video tape is really good for recording sound. I once saw a home recording set up where everything was recorded onto VHS cassettes.

Thanks, 4arms, and you too, Seles58! Chris- I love that little bit at the beginning;-- it makes a great pick up to the whole thing.

Thanks, Danman and jd! And, thank you Chris. I wanted to rework my guitar and the drums, but when I added the violin part to Antonello's mix, I thought it sounded great just the way it was.

Thanks again,

Thanks, iamOpen. The movie's about building houses for the poor. This music goes with the opening credits. Mostly travel images with text over the top. It's a project still in the works.

You have a great green thumb. And great music, too! That wicker chair reminds me of the house down the street; they set up an old waterbed and filled it with flowers. Wish I had your thumb and Ed's fingers.

Isn't that an awesome tune? I tried a couple of different poems, but it never got off the ground. It's really hard to come up with words to match the whole "cool" of the song.

I use Photoshop and iMovie. I think there's more I can do to the movie to make it "faster", but it would involve layering some video on top. I just saw alanatomic's vid and he's got all kinds of layering going on. That's what I want to do, but I don't think I can do video layers with iMovie.

Thanks for the comment!

Thanks, becwil! I'm naturally eclectic. smiley

When I first started using GarageBand, I was immediately drawn to all those funky loops. Since this is one of my first animation projects, I decided to use a really early GarageBand composition as the soundtrack. Thanks again.

Seriously, he's a cool bass player I collab with. He has a really unique take on the industrial post modern meets metal grunge thing. HomeBrand said one of our collabs sounded like somebody trying to break into a top secret robot factory! It's called xperiment.

I enjoyed this very much. I agree with David, the rhythm has a primitive, yet evolving quality. I thought the melody was right on;-- for me, the occasional dissonance created a tension that suggested an interplay between science and nature. Discovery.

Anticipating as I was, from your description before listening, I easily envisioned soft brushes whisking away layers of time.

Acoustic Rock by _mason_ 5 years ago
Thank very much! I think it's my best one so far.

I used one of my paintings for the colors. The photograph of the rock was taken at a park in Missouri called Elephant Rocks. The park is covered with huge globs of granite. They say it's some of the oldest exposed granite on the face of the earth.

The rock in the picture was carved long ago by men who used to work in a nearby quarry.

Thanks again!

Thanks guys! BTW, I grew up listening to my mother's Burl Ives records. I tried to find a CD of his folk songs once, (for Mother's Day) but all I could find were re-issues of his Christmas records.

I hope that's right.
