I used to do terrible things like write poetry and recite it in public. I won't say I was any good at it but I was popular for a while. Sadly I had to move one from the coffee house circuits of Southern Illinois when the scene changed.
There are none left there now, as far as I know.
So now I live in a town under 900 live and working people. What the others do I have no idea. They could all be plotting to take over this end of the food chain and have really interesting meetings held in secret places where they call each other by ancient names. It is always those places that seem too normal that are the center of evil.
On the outside, it is a quiet and calm place where very little happens. It is not very inspirational except when I go on a bike ride and see something new out at my favorite cemetery.
I tend to gravitate to cemeteries for my inspirations. Out there are so many stories one can only guess at and this good fun in my head at a time in my life when I once had it taste of the high-life and lost it to disease.
I prefer to make my works known here by the sound of my voice since this is an audio and video site for artists. Anything I write that is mistaken for poetry is just drivel from my alien brain and should not be taken too seriously.

I seem to be getting some static about the similarity of my name here on this site to another rather well liked and talented poet. He and I have already exchanged a few messages and he seems to have no problem with it.
Based on that alone I would be content to let this one ride out the storm of confusion. In the end all will find our work unique each and unto each other. Still, I would like to have some valued input from the neighborhood.
I realized this name was a bit too close for comfort when I chose it, having read and listened to and enjoyed awannabeapoet's works, but felt there was none other that really expressed my failures as a poet.
This is not self-deprecation. Just wait till more stuff starts coming up the pipe. You will run in horror and wonder what the big deal was all about.
Maybe.
I could surprise you or more importantly, perhaps even surprise myself.
That said, bring it on.
