American Suite-Prelude by abitran128 2 months ago
Haha I didn't think about it like this, but I like the interpretation!
New Orleans Prelude by MidiOrleans 5 months ago
I enjoyed this! I like how you blend the jazz and blues with the classical, this is something that I frequently do in my music. I think this prelude paints a nice city picture, and does a good job introducing the rest of the suite. Looking forward to the rest!
By the way, I am composing a suite myself for solo piano, which will be called 'American Suite'. Just out of curiosity, what were you thinking of doing for the next movements?
Verano by abitran128 6 months ago
Hm..I only did one of each track. Maybe it's something in the mix that could be changed then...

thank you all for your comments, they are much appreciated smiley
Across The River by abitran128 2 years ago
Thank you for the compliments and feedback! Regarding the drums, I am controlling garageband's MIDI drum sound using an electronic drum kit, and Garageband's drums do not provide much variety. I am hoping to eventually get an acoustic set.
Can't Let Go Of You by abitran128 2 years ago
Thank you! As for the strings, there are four string voices, three violins and one cello, all played through a light chorus effect in order to create the illusion of a larger ensemble
Golden Winged Phoenix by JoelIrwin 2 years ago
This is nice, sounds like the theme song from a children's TV show. I like the melody and the voices in thirds. Enjoyed!

Alarms (Original Version) by abitran128 2 years ago
Thanks. I appreciate the specific feedback on details. Now that I think about it, I do see that perhaps a different intro would suit this better. When I first created it, I had the intention of making the intro in a specific "Dark Side Of The Moon" style, kind of like the song "On The Run".
Speaking about effects on the lead track, my other version has some automated double tracking applied to the lead vocal, which you may find suits the track better. I am glad you enjoyed this smiley

haha I guess that's what happens smiley Thanks!
Bad relationship -lower trumpet (fixed) by theseedsofautumn 2 years ago
This is a great jazz composition. I really like the chord changes and the trumpet melody. I thought that the EQ sounds fine. As others said, you can experiment with it according to what style of jazz you want it to sound like, but it's fine the way it is. Enjoyed!
Can't fall out of Love by hiphopmoses 2 years ago
This is great! I really like the lyrics you wrote, and you sang it very well too, also awesome guitar playing. I think that adding some Caribbean instruments (congas, steel drums, etc.) could add a more tropical feel to this song, but it does not in any way need these instruments. I think that the way it is now is also appropriate for the style. Enjoyed!

Nice guitar sounds; I especially liked the lullaby theme at the beginning. I definitely hear the pink floyd in this, both in the instrumentals, and in the lyrics. Enjoyed!
Grovin' to the street by DX_OF_TX 2 years ago
The phaser like effect on the synthesizer gives it an interesting, almost otherworldly feel. I also like the backing groove. Cool song!

wow, a powerful piece of music, especially with the orchestra. I also liked that synth choir sound, which added a soothing feel to the song. Enjoyed!

The Dark Side by abitran128 2 years ago
part of creativity is in how I use words to describe the music smiley, and thank you for the comments! This does in fact have some Queen influence in the chorus
Alarms (Alternate Version) by abitran128 2 years ago
Thanks! I would say that most of the Pink Floyd influences are in the vocals (particularly in my use of double tracking), and in the backing instrumentals

Swingin' With The Sharks by viz 2 years ago
awesome! I especially like how the shark starts to sound more intense later in the solo as it gets closer to the fish, and how the fish sounds more scared (higher notes, like a fish "squeaking" smiley The backing band gives it a very oceanic feel too
