| thank you so much guys! yah, i plan on doing a mixture of acoustic and a heavier, most likely semi-adam jones-ish (Tool) style electric. sorry for the lack of bass guitar in this version, but like i stated, this is just the acoustic demo ... i think you'll be pleasantly pleased with the final draft (hopefully, that is lol). highly agreed Kev, real drums kick the living sh*t out of loops or programmed drums/percussion ... my choice is easy and obvious which i'd choice in ANY situation. then again, real drums ARE a MUCH LARGER pain in the *ss ;p ............... worth it, i say .................... oh, and thank you very much for the SOAD comparison ... one of my favorite bands as well!!! somehow i'm not surprised in your friggin FANTASTIC taste in music, my good friend ;D |

| Thank you Dave! i'm really happy that you're liking it! The drums were actually recorded with just ONE mic ... a Rode condenser mic strategically placed in the room with the drums. My lil brother, Ben, is a PHENOMENAL drummer ... a true student of the art & it is more than an honor to play with him. We're working on a couple tracks together; "Two Beams of Light", a very Tool-ish styled number, and a severely groovy psychedelic track ... ALL great fun. It's all about the task/act of creating ... not the prize at the end of it all ;D |
