| Thanks for your most helpful comments and very kind words, Ed! I will most certainly give the mix a careful listen once again. This is what sharing is all about, and I really appreciate any and all advice. The guitar separation was most definitely intended, in order to prevent two separate electric guitar tracks from getting in the way of each other. on the right side is my rhythm guitar, and on balanced more to the left but not entirely is the lead guitar. I'll try moving my guitar closer to center. Strangely enough, my vocals are dead center! I wonder what that's all about...I just double-checked in Logic. Thanks again, Ed. This is exactly the kind of advice I'm looking for. -Armin |

| You Save Me (duet w Petra) by Dylan | 2 years ago |
| This is a beautiful interpretation. I really like the way it builds, and the vocal delivery matches the lyrics well. I hope that Jennie will hear this. I'm sure she'll love it. | |
| Trails In The Sky featuring Rhonie by zallaz | 3 years ago |
| Nice production, pretty song, great vocal work. Rhonie, you have a terrific voice and you use great restraint. A touch less reverb on the vox and a longer fade and you have it. | |

| The La La La Song by aheurich | 3 years ago |
| Well...Jeremity's harmony vocals are kinda buried in the mix. If I brought them up a bit, you'd get a better sense of it. I may remix it. | |

| The Sad Milkman by aheurich | 3 years ago |
| Thanks, John! It took a lot of sound deadening, figuring out the best way to amplify voice and instruments seperately, and playing with mic placement to get this sound right. George Kobas is the mandolin player. He's awesome, and Emelie, our drummer, plays in a zydeco band, so that's probably where that comes from. Thanks for the comments! | |

| Thanks for your very astute comments, John. This is what I love about iCompositions. Folks are so kind and thoughtful with their comments, and in this case you really helped me out. You're so right about the tempo. I agree that we should slow it down a little and let more synth in. We'll try it out at our next rehearsal. Thanks again! |

![]() I like the concept quite a bit, John. I can totally relate! Musically, this song reminds me a bit of Joe Ely's hilarious song West Texas Waltz. If you don't know it, you have to check it out or in the very least google the lyrics. The electric guitar is quirky and I like the way it comes from nowhere, totally unexpected. What kind of vocal mic are you using? Audio interface device? Nice work! |

| Hero/Heroine (collaboration) by aheurich | 3 years ago |
| Thanks for the comment, John. It's a good question, and actually the lag is completely intentional. First off, I intentionally avoided using a click track when recording this. I was going for a loping, not perfectly rhythmic feel, which made it very hard for Chuck to record his guitar track. Chuck did a lot of experimenting with the harmony vocals, and I really like the way he played with the timing. We're working hard to really blend our voices more. | |
| Victoria Lee by aheurich | 3 years ago |
| Thanks for the comment, John. I love how Chuck rounded out the song with the harmony vocals. We most certainly will be playing Victoria, as well as most of the iComp collaborations. If you just happen to be in the Ithaca NY area, we will be playing at The Nines in Ithaca's Collegetown neighborhood on Friday, June 9th at 10 pm. |

| Hey Mexico (you shuck away all my ill) by johnmoore | 3 years ago |
| Very clever songwriting, John! I especially like the phrasing in the "little green pill" line, and the image of female German tourists practicing Karate... reminds me of a Monty Python skit. | |
| Hero/Heroine by aheurich | 3 years ago |
| Thanks, John! There is percussion, but it's a very primitive cymbal track that's too low in the mix. I want to keep the percussion simple, and I didn't use a click track, so I have to use musical typing to create it and tweak the timing. It's a pain... | |

| Four On The Corner by johnmoore | 3 years ago |
![]() Very nice work, John. I like the song a lot. Makes me think of Lou Reed, and that's a high compliment in my book. The guitar work is very nice, and you use great restraint. In your choice of loops. I did notice where your vocal track was cut when you weren't singing. I do that as well, especially since I don't want the world to hear me chatting and clearing my throat, but I think I noticed it because of the high end frequencies add a hiss. Just a suggestion--you might try EQing your vocal track to eliminate the hiss, and you won't hear that popping in and out of the vocal track. Again, terrific work. |

| Thanks for your comments, UncletupeloFan. Yeah, I really like the Bottle Rockets, though I haven't heard their most recent recording, which received some rave reviews. I have their first album, Brooklyn Side, and I like their take on the country punk hybrid. They've been through a lot of personnel changes over the years, but I hear they're better than ever. | |
