Influences:
Any good music, I listen to a wide variety of genres but my primary genre is metal. I like more electronic based music, and I like orchestral stuff too.
Rig+Hardware:
So, not the most expensive rig on the planet!
I'm running a PowerMac G5 Dual 2.5ghz, with 2 gigs of RAM and a 128mb graphics card. And a soundcard... which I don't even know the model or manufacture. But it gets the job done.
As for my guitar, I have recorded everything on a 6-string Fender Squier, which is right now a five string due to me being too lazy to replace the strings. I'm eying one of those 7-string RGs though...(8 strings are just too much for me!)
I also own a Yeti by Blue Microphones, which I use for vocals. Great all around microphone, and works without having to install any stupid drivers, etc.
Software:
So most of my sound comes from my software. I use Logic Pro 8 for my DAW. (can't use 9 on the account of it being Intel only) I am a huge Logic fan, and I love everything about the app. The UI is first-rate, not like Cubase or Protools, this UI is actually easy to use. The software instruments and plug-ins are also all first-rate!
For my guitar sound, I use Amplitube 3. Which is actually the only amp simulator I have tried. I know there are others, but Amplitube does everything I need it to do. You can get so many tones from that plugin!
For drums I use EZDrummer with the Drumkit from Hell expansion. This is a dream come true for anyone who plays any sort of metal and needs some good drum samples.
For mastering I use the one and only Ozone 4. I can't tell you how much I love this plugin. I love this plugin more than my own mother. It basically makes everything sound... AWESOME! Plus, you can achieve some EXCELLENT drum tracks using the presets. All in all, Ozone makes my mixes sound epic.

Hello there. For the few people who were following the (failed) release of my EP, then you might have noticed that it was... not released yesterday. My input jack on my computer was b0rked somehow, and so I wasn't able to rerecord a few guitar parts that had some rather noticeable pops and crackles.
