You outshined the other rappers on this track... Your last verse is far the best. Would be nice to hear you spit **** on this in a harder way.
Otherwise, same thing than with the other track, you should mix voices in the center.

Trying to hide by alexandre 21 days ago
Yo thanks Rkitek. About sampling, there's no method or special place to look for samples. Anything can do. Seriously, I sample classic, soul, blues, funk, ethnic, rock, country, no matter the genre, you just need to sharpen you ears and be able to detect a little loop or even just a simple sound that you want to use. Then, it's all about filtering, eq'ing, and most of all slicing the sample so you can play it like a real instrument.
Hit me up if you wanna know more!
Thanks for listening.

Yeah, I'm feelin ya. Cool vibe going on here. I like the sounds. But maybe cut a bit the compression on the snare and adjust the attack. It's like the snare is drowned.
That's a very cool chillin yet hard beat.

Man I love this. It's so tight, and played with a lot of feeling. Nice piano, nice string hits. It has a very West Coast feel to it, I could picture Ice cube ripping this off easy.

Very chillin' indeed. I like the eerie sounds going on all over the track. Maybe would have liked a more present clap, it's kind of lost behind the sub bass...
If i got my mic already, I would love to throw some lyrics on this. But I would do that in french, just so you know!

Da Real Hip Hop Anthem by INFAMUS 1 month ago
Irok, I understand how you feel, but egotrip is part of hip hop, as much as clashes and beefs. Hip hop is a culture, and people trully embrassing it are no gangsters and don't preach violence. Considering that, egotrip and clash are a very peacefull way to express the violence that is within each and every human being. We're living in a society that put on top of values money, power and performance. When the CEO of big corporation metaphoricaly "kill" his opponents, he's celebrated as a powerfull visionnary smart *** manager. Now, what's so wrong about rappers trying to put themselves on the map in the same way, givin' it's more for fun than anything?
Anyway, thanks for the beat, I produced it smiley

That's what hip hop have been missing for a long time : engagement and consciousness. Very deep track indeed, pointing out some of the problems we're facing nowadays, to get the people aware of what's really going on.
Roda, the flow and lyrics are just great. Keep doin' your thing and bringing this new flavour to the game.

Man, that's ****in hot. I love the grime feel of the beat with that bad*** kick drum. The piano slices (you choped your own playing?) are geat, so are the voice samples and the horns. Well, I've to agree with Ice, this is the best beat you uploaded here on Icomp. It sounds like a modern interpretation of what Primo would do if he was not stucked in the 90's sound (which I love and deeply respect, since I'm stucked there as well haha).
Hope you achieve your big secret project!

Great samples. Great beat. I think I would like a more regular hi hats on this (especially when you double the kick drum, the fast hi hats take me a bit away). Yeah, I agree with Gideon, this is fat, so put a fat bass! That Izotop plugin for the crispy bacon noise is cool, in this case sounds like it doesn't come from the sample as such, right?
Altogether, you made a very good beat, as usual. It's nice to feel the progression in your work. You'll make a hell of a good producer. No correction : you're already a hell of a producer!

Mesiah, this is the full version, I don't see nothing to add smiley The essence of this beat, as every punchy anthem is the simplicity of the beat, meant to emphasize and compliment the flows and lyrics of the Mc's. Try to rap on this and you'll understand what I mean.

As for the orchestra sound, haha, I really doubt you ever heard that... but FYI, it's from a french singer called Michel Sardou, whose notoriety never crossed the borders. But who knows, don't want to underestimate your knowledge of french music!

Oh btw, the classical piece you sampled is Nocturne Number 15 in F Minor, Opus 55 Number 1 by Frederic Chopin.
It's hard to tell with just the sample, but the quality of recording and the feel on the piano, I would say it's the interpretation by Vladimir Horowitz or Artur Rubinstein.
The whole beat is kinda mixed too much on the left channel though. Hear it as well?

Man, if you have Trilogy, than get the bass on the "No one" cover of Alicia Keys, please! smiley

Regarding this beat, the instruments are not tuned together( bass and guitar riff). Don't know if it's on purpose, but well, it doesn't sound right to me, sorry. Maybe you could fix that, and get the drums to sound a bit more dynamic in the mix.

Definitely missing a bassline. The little piece of the sample you repeat after a while somehow doesn't work as the main verse melody. I would maybe use the whole melody of the sample for the verses and add a synth to mark the difference with chorus (or some strings that would nicely compliment the guitar).
You got a killer sample, you cut it like a pro, just get down on the sequencing and mix, get a bass, and you have fire.
Btw, the drums are just enormous, very well programmed.
Enjoyed it, peace, Alex

Well, you asked for constructive comment, so... I kind of feel that the bass is too present in the mix. It's nice as such, no doubt, but it put the melody in the back, which is a pity to my hears, since it's beautiful. Mix of the vocals could be improved with a bit of reverb i guess.
Devil is in the details. That's an overall very impressive track.
