Ok this is what I see... the fly is running out of time, it's not buzzing as loudly as it was...it's flickering it's wings but hasn't got much energy left. You're frantically running around the room trying to get something to break the glass to set it free before you can it runs out of oxygen. THEN... it falls on it's back and it's dead. Looking at the dead fly you realise it was you all along and you are trapped in your own delusional nightmare. All the events that brought you to this room flash before your eyes. What did you do ? How did you get here? You set off towards the door, you're running but you can't reach the door handle to open it. As you run faster the wallpaper peels, pictures fall from the walls. Brick by brick the room falls away and what's left are the blinding rays of the summer sun reflecting from the sunflower heads of which you're running amongst. It's beautiful. You slow down to admire the view...You look to the sky, clouds slowly cover the sun, it's getting darker and suddenly you're back in the room. You blink a few times to regain focus and there you are, downtown in a rundown motel room, sitting on the edge of a ripped chair. You're distracted by a sound...buzzing? You look up and on the window is the fly. You slowly raise your hand and SPLAT! |

I have to agree - totally ready for the radio! If ever I was going to believe a singer/narrator it's Rhonie....WOW! Rhonie - your vocals are so seductive ( I would) and complemented by Dylan who is, as you know awesome! I like the positioning of the bvs too.. The guitars are great, what am I talking about, everything is great! A very good collab! Honestly Kev, you've got a great ability to conceptualize the perfect pop / rock tune! Firstly, let me say Congratulations fella's, this is really great! But you know that right? I think its really perfect the way it is. I think vocals would be distracting... but then again maybe if Dave did them.... I love the chapters/segments, they flow and compliment each other perfectly. The synth is lovely but when the piano comes in you forget the pads and think WOW that's beautiful and then they come back and you're like " yeah man". As for the guitar. You know you rock don't you Jay? You really can make those guitars sing... Awesome and full of soul. You all got this so right. It must feel wonderful to achieve what you set out to. I really think this tune could go on and on, it could play into infinity and never get boring. Beautiful ending though. |

Its not a genre of music I am used to so I'm not one to critique - being an inadequate musician, well not even that. But I just can't find any fault with this. The production is amazing, on all of the chapters in this story. I'm starting to like the clpas a lot. I would definitely pay to watch a performance of this, although the show can't be nearly as amazing as I imagine it. |
