| Indian Classical Music is an extension of Yoga (root of all art forms in India) It was used to do what now people use Yogic exercises and different Ragas were prescribed to cure different diseases. Each Raga represents different moods. The music scales were classified and represented different energy centres of body ( physical parts are glands). An artist to perform in pubic had to undergo more than a decade training. In fact if properly understood Indian Classic music system could define world music. | |
