aoes is an acronym representing the phrase Art of Electric Sound. I am Ben Dunwell, the sole member of aoes. I write, perform and record all the songs. I have been playing guitar since I was a kid and have been in a few bands over the years as a singer and guitar player. When I got into recording, I started playing more of the instruments (drums, bass, and keys) in order to create complete songs without relying on other musicians to help (due to schedules). I have alot of musical influences which are really all over the map. The music that I write and perform however is probably most influenced by some of my favorites which include Tool, Godsmack, and Alice In Chains.
