I know how difficult this was, technically, to redo the vocal. Your voice sounds terrific. You 'nailed it.' But as I listen again to this piece I am struck by the beauty of the song itself. Such a simple, lovely work. It should be published! |

This has a charming, funky 80s feel to it. Lovely synthesized bass. As for your guitar? I feel like I am listening to an extremely talented artist who is about to master the instrument - and I enjoy listening to your progress with each new song. Very soulful, Tadashi. Too bad Tin Pan Alley is gone. Although surely, somewhere, there must be the 2006 equivalent? What is really amazing about this piece is how quickly you produced it. Songwriting is like making Ramen Noodles™ for you. Could you do one of these a day? Or 6? The ending, whether accidental or not, is truly inspired. Hard to pick a favorite Mystified piece, but this has to be one of them for me...even if you did end on a major 3rd.  Magnificent, Cat! |

Now I enjoyed not only hearing it again, the sadness and redemption, but I also enjoyed reading comments here from people hearing your voice for the first time. A new audience discovering you, Cat. Very excellent song. The chorus is wonderful - kind of got to me. The fiddle and drum and mandolin all came as a nice surprise toward the end. This is an unusual, urban/environmental/sentimental piece. Really liked it. |

This song refuses to go where you expect it might, which I like. It never descends into sugary sweetness. It almost seems like several different songs, or musical thoughts. My only complaint is the ending. It seems clipped. Very nice technique. |
