| thanks alot. I worked realy hard on different ways to record my acoustic. Finaly I eneded up putting a mic inches away from my right hand and just picking up the pick or "plectrum" noise. That seems to add so much! well that plus taking the direct signal and mixing them. I'm learning as I'm doing . . . thanks again for listening . . |

 Love the drums! they realy sound great, especialy the snare. The percusion sounds are great as well. Personaly I never liked the sound of digital horns. But hey that's just my opinion. Overal a great job. Great production. Joey is off the hook! |

| Excellent ears Fromano! It is a fretless Fender Jazz (with EMG pickups) and yes there is some distortion on all the drums and bass, while recording I was (of course) tweaking the settings and I came up with this sound and I just liked it. thank you very much for listening and for your compliments and critique! |

| Thank you for the comments. I realy appreciate it, I was going for a sort of "spooky" sound with the panning vocals, just experimenting but I see your point. Now that I've heard this song a few times with the headphones it realy stands out. But it is a little creepy to have the sound of the main vocal shifting around ~ I'm still not sure how I feel about it. . . ? thanks again! |

| Yes I did play all the guitars and bass on this. There are two acoustic guitars playing "paralell chords" ie: if the first guitar is playing a G and a D then the Harmony guitar is playing an A and a E. Sometimes a fifth above othertimes a 3rd or a 4th. It's a very simple pattern throughout yet I beleive it yeilds a rich tone. The melody is played on my bass through a Q tron and Dyna comp. then of course mixed through the Filter. There used to be a big extended electric guitar solo throughout but as I began mixing it I took more and more of the solo out until it was almost all gone. You can achieve so much sometimes just by removing things. Thanks for listening and for your comments! |
