Biography
I was born just outside Philly in the burbs around Media, PA. I was probably given my first guitar (if you could call it one) at about 4. My dad played guitar ever since he was a kid so naturally he felt I should take it up as well, and since I grew up watching him play, naturally I felt compelled to pick it up. I spent most of my time just watching my dad and taking him in and never really attempted to learn anything until I was about 12 or 13. I played off and on for the next two years or so learning the basics and found myself frustrated with it as it seemed difficult to play with my smaller hands as well as not being able to play as well as others around me. I stopped really playing after that and only picked the guitar up to fiddle around with it ever so often. After moving I found new people to hang out with and learned a few friends had guitars as well so I decided to pick it back up. Since most of us did not know much about playing it seemed easier to want to try and play and help each other out along the way. I now have been playing pretty consistently for about 6 years or so and I couldn't think of a more fun hobby. I am 24 and have little formal instruction which can be difficult at times when trying to piece music together and find the right notes to string together, but nonetheless, I enjoy every second of it.
