I'm really just starting out playing and writing again. I once (about 15 years ago) played bass in a thrash metal band. I moved away and never seemed to have the time to play. I felt inspired over the summer to get my guitar out and try and put my hand to playing. Still very very rusty, but loving it! Although I used to co-write in my old band days, I'm now making an attempt to put some stuff together on my own.

I have a broad range of influences from The Kinks and The Beatles, through Soundgarden and Nirvana to early Metallica and Sepultura. More recently my best friend has got me listening to some country (Robbie Fulks and BR-549) and I like to relax listening to some classical too.

As well as trying to learn to play again, I'm also battling with Logic Pro. I can never get near the polished sound I hear from so many on here, but I guess it's all practise!
