Fitting tribute. Shook the house around here, as well.

Great song and great performance. Still humming along (due in part to my Swedish? not being all that good).
Screw You by Dyl 3 years ago
Nice tune. Sometimes mean is good. The "I love you, I love you too" break is great. I'm diggin' the trumpet in the back too. Boy, it's really in gear at the end. Likin' this a lot.

What a great version of a great song. And agree with the comment up above that it's always good to hear you sing. No need to apologize for it just being you and the guitar.
Do You Know Me ? by Dyl 3 years ago
This is a great tune. Blown away. So well executed and paced just right. This is a keeper.

I gotta say, the more I listen, the more I love it. The overlaid guitars are a great addition as are the overlaid vocals in the beginning. Y me gusta mucho los versos nuevos y los gritos durante los solos. Gracias para tu contribucion a esta obra comunal.

Great rolling vibe with the band right out of the gate. I love songs that just hit ya up front. Great performances all around, vox (well-phrased and right on mood), piano (keeps it rollin'), guit (solo's well-measured), harp (good strong opening dyl) and rhythm sec (holdin' it together). Also, nice combo of complexity in the changes and hookiness.
Your Wife by thenownows 3 years ago
Likin' this. Lyrics, guitar work and the whistlin' are right on. "consistently insistent on being your wife" is a great little line.
exception to the rule by buckhorn 3 years ago
When I wrote the song, I always had in mind that it would be a real guitar song, ending in a multi-guitar jam. In many ways, it was much more like the way you guys pulled it off than the way I did. This is great.

Can't ask for anything more than two great versions of one song. Feel like I really got my money's worth outta this one.

Great track. Nice performances all around. A real keeper.

Wow! What a great performance Dylan. Amazing nuance and texture. A true honor to have you make so much out of what was relatively little.

Really diggin' this odd timer.

Cool the way it comes together nicely, but you still get three distinct performances. I love the last bit where you guys are sharing the lead vocals. It makes for a great conclusion.

Ed,
These stars are yours, amigo. What a gift to have you pick this up and add your touch to it. As usual, it only makes it so much better.

Man, this is really great. The whole song works. Performances fit perfectly. Dig the bridge too. This is one of the better songs I've heard in a while.

Great little tune. Like the percussion combo'd with the sweet Ed N chords and the folk progressions. Good word-work too . . . resonated with this guy.

Of course it's a great song. Great heartfelt love song that manages to be unsappy. You're a better man than me. Hope you and Liz have a great Valentines day.

I love the personal nature of this. Of course, as Sebastien says the guitar is "dazzling" as usual. I like though that your wife (I'm assuming that's her) got involved and added another personal touch to this. And did a very good job I must say. Very cool.

Having an adopted bro, I also gotta say that I love the sentiment.

Nice vibe. Cool lyrics. I love the voices at the end. Another great piece from the man of a thousand genres. And when is the CD coming out?

This is a great song. Great lyrics, guitars, siren calls, the works. I really dug the break and how it paces the song. Really gives you that strapped to the mast feeling. This is a great collab.

Man, I love this. I almost fell out of my chair when you sang the "bring it on" line. Oh, yeah, and any time someone can make a rhyme using the word "liposuction," I'm on board.

Ed took a decent riff and a good start to a "song" and made it a real work. Thanks, ed, for your vision, writing and help in seeing this come to fruition.

As Ed would say, "the 5's are yours."

Great song, Ed! Great guitar work, as usual, but the singing really stood out for me. You did a great job with the phrasing. Your vocal tone also complements your guitar sound well.

Thanks for the generous comment, Ed. Oh, and blame me for the drums. Ed did with them what he could.

This is a great song. I also liked the performance. The harmonies were well-done and ol' Zach's got a good voice. I'd like to hear a recut of this with a band kicking in. This version sounds like the unplugged version of a cool studio track.

Agree with the comments above. I particularly liked the brief harmonizing in the piece. It was well-placed. My only suggestion would be to also hook up with a guitarist and get some cool, mellow, clean guitar fills in there to give it a little more action when you're not singing.

This is a great song. I love the solo banjo, changes in tempo and the vocal performance. Really captures the essence of the lyrics. You should post more work.
