I think there's a little too much reverb on your lead instruments, it starts to build and the reverb drowns out a lot of the little intricacies but overall this song is thumpin' smiley

it has a lot of potential actually, you just need some better sounds. your bass sounds like it doesn't want to be there and it's just playing notes cause you want it to. you need to make it come to life. i suggest adding an LFO on the cutoff of the bass and EQing the bass a little heavier. also the lead synth needs a tad more bass as well, it's too far in the highs. add a sub bass that mirrors your lead bassline. just a little mixing and sound alteration and you could have yourself a pretty good dub.

The Wary Weary by bonsushi 1 year ago
I don't have the FL limiter on, which static are you referring to? I did have a sweep of white noise with a cutoff filter, that's about the only instance I could find.

I can hear where you're going with this and I like it. The vocals could use a little more energy behind them and maybe a touch of reverb, love the guitars, but a more realistic sounding bass would be nice smiley.

Overall enjoyable, good work.

I love this tune. It reminds me of Death Cab for Cutie. It's very relaxing. Everything flows just right, good work. Would love to hear some vocals on it.

turn the hats down a bit, boost up that kick and snare, add some bass drops and some synth leads and you're all set.

I disagree with the auto-tune advice. It'd totally take away from the feel of the song in general. It's such an overused effect anyway.

But yeah man it's a good song keep it up.

This is pretty sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Reminds me of like a new Castlevania game cause of all the fast synths, then it switches over to modern rock.

Much enjoyed, no complaints.

It was good. I really enjoyed it.
A few notes sounded off. I really liked the progressions and little guitar fills, but I think they could've been mixed a bit better, but other than that: great job smiley

I rated as I did because some chords did not fit well at all (mostly piano)

Performance was 5 stars because most the instruments sounded decent although fake

I used production as a scale for the chords not sounding good, but other than that, it was great!

Nice one, Jeff. I did my homework to this. I don't listen to much World, but I always have my ears open for something new. I enjoyed it, though. Relaxing, but still provides a point of interest.

Superb.

I'd say lower the acoustic a tad bit.

For me it took me through a dark forest plastered with strange creatures. Then there was a clearing with a large tree stump, with a ray of sunshine cast upon it. I rested upon it and continued my journey. I met one of the creatures who then began leading me through this forest. As we exited, a large castle came into view. We ran through the gates of the city and approached the castle doors. I said farewell to the forest creature, and entered the castle doors. I walked through a hallway. After a minute or two of walking, I entered a large room with a huge dragon in it. The gate locked and I fought the dragon. As the dragon was slayed, the song ended.

You wrote a story. Woooooooooohooo. I loved it.

I really like how it flowed. The bridge really grabbed my attention though. Sometimes the drums sound a tad different, like they don't really belong. The part I'm talking about I think is the verse. Try adding a little more reverb to them maybe?

Otherwise a great piece.

Ferry Boat by gennargiu 3 years ago
I liked it. Midway it sounded like the ferry boat went under attack by crazy monsters or something o.o

Then it sounded like the people on the ferry were victorious

Then I felt like the ferry was under a heavy storm of some sort.

And then the ferry finally arrived at its destination.

Then again, to each his own interpretation, right?

I enjoyed it smiley

DEATH WILL SAVE ME by skeetermoses 3 years ago
Honest opinion:

Mixing could definitely be better.

I like screamo/metal/black metal/death metal/power metal/etc

SO

I think I could say that I think the screaming could be a bit better. It sounds a bit, too, I don't really know the words.

Vocals are a tad loud for metal though.
Try screaming more powerful. Might get you a better sound.

Otherwise tis not that bad.

Yeah, it is a bit off timing because FL studio puts this .020 second something space at the beginning and end of my EZDrummer loops so I'm going to use Cubase or something to see if that gives me perfect loops.
