| Trooper's Serenade by dirigent | 3 months ago |
| A beautiful performance, in every way. I like the way you play with the tempo each time on the refrain. In other performances of this that I've heard, except for the final refrain, there is a consistent drive to the final cadence. Your interpretation better underscores the message of the text. Thanks, also, for your information on the text. I had not known that the "voice" of the lyric is that of a German trooper. | |

| I especially like the drama evoked by the random sounds of the opening and closing sections. Compelling work. Thanks for sharing this timely piece! | |
| Sugar and Coffee by dirigent | 3 months ago |
| Smooth as silk, delectable, enjoyable in every way!! Many thanks!! (Interestingly I know the A section from my days as a music teacher of children. It was done as a round and with these words: "I love the mountains; I love the rolling hills; I love the flowers; I love the love the daffodils; I love the fireside, When all the lights are low. Boom-tee-ah-dah, Boom-tee-ah-dah, etc." It's nice to know the song's origins.) |

| Great orchestra here, but also some nice harmonic shifts. I doubt if there is another example of this kind of "program music." But I may be wrong. Many thanks! | |

| My Lord, What a Morning by byHeart | 4 months ago |
| Thanks for your nice comment! I used GB's Steinway Grand and recorded it direct on the GB program. Sometimes I don't like the "feel" of it, but it generally works to my satisfaction when I listen to it. | |
| Theme from 'Schindler's List' by soulima | 4 months ago |
| Rich, beautiful orchestration. I'm often bothered by the sound of bowed strings as I listen to various pieces of icomp offerings--the fact that they often sound (to me) so fake. But that's not the case here. Very enjoyable work. (I've not heard the original tho' I've heard of the movie). | |

| Interesting sonic journey. Keeps me wondering what's coming next. I especially like the section near the end with the tolling bell and the choir-like sound in the distance. All-told, a nice sense of mystery! | |

| Red Earth Interlude by mlpbadarak | 4 months ago |
Lovely evocative piece! GB has done well with the authentic sound of the harp and woodwinds and you have made such good use of them. I like the spaces ("breaths" between musical statements--they seem to help capture the open landscape that inspires the piece. Thanks for sharing this very enjoyable listen! |

| Interregnum for Orchestra by soulima | 4 months ago |
| I like this work very much. Even tho' a single theme is reiterated throughout, there are organic changes that keep me wondering what's coming next, and the piece builds very effectively. Bravo! | |
| Intermezzo for Orchestra by soulima | 4 months ago |
| Dense, rich texture; beautiful shifting harmonies for the recurring theme, sets the mood very effectively. Very fine work! | |
| Piano Concerto "Anacapa" (All Movements) by davidsmith99 | 4 months ago |
| Impressive work. I, like Soulima, liked very much the second movement, with its openness and resulting exposure of instruments and lines. And, I agree, too, that it's very nice to be able to hear all three movements in one piece. Congratulations and thanks! | |
| God Among Men by Justin_Case | 4 months ago |

| The World's Messiah by dirigent | 4 months ago |
| Your beautiful vocal rendering is a sort of anchor that holds onto the tradition of this music. What you have added to update it keeps us (me) wondering what will happen next?--for me a barometer that indicates first-rate music-making. Bravo!! | |

| The Seven Deadly Sins - Envy by dirigent | 5 months ago |
| Wonderfully theatrical piece. Piling up of voices along with the crescendo of varied sounds effectively echoes the textual message of envy's growth. First-rate experiment. Would like to here a piece on its opposite virtue--maybe would be an interesting pair (maybe not). | |
| Evening-Song by dirigent | 5 months ago |
| Sublime music from the rich treasure of 19th-cent. choral works. Beautifully rendered and greatly enjoyed! Have not heard any Rheinberger vocal pieces before. Many thanks for sharing. | |
| Dunderhead Discard by soulima | 5 months ago |
| Exciting energy. Wonderfully complex texture. It would lend itself very well to having a contrasting section. But it also stands by itself very well, too. Thanks for sharing it! | |

| Feenix, I began with GB's Sequence Element 2, then added Steel String Acoustic Guitar, then had the latter drop out at the very end and added Church Bell, but had it delayed just slightly to produce a kind of echo. Thanks as always for your kind words! Tom |

| Reminiscence for Harp by byHeart | 6 months ago |
| I never uploaded the original because of its problems with muddy pedaling. Perhaps this rendition could not even be played by a single harpist, but since I liked the sonority of the harp I decided to make use of it. In any case, thanks as always for your supportive comments! | |

| Stop War - In Pace by dirigent | 6 months ago |
| You've given us another effective, creative example of adding wonderful layers of meaning on top of an older work. Your ending with a fragment of text, as though the singer can no longer keep his eyes open, is very nice! Thank you! | |

| Verborgenheit - Seclusion by dirigent | 7 months ago |
| The whole is quite beautiful, but the last time through the verse is stunning! I did not know of the sad ending to Distler's life. May his soul be taken where it needs to be. Thank you for this loving tribute to him. | |

| Wondrous Love by byHeart | 8 months ago |
| Thanks, J, for your comments. I listened again keeping my eyes open for red at the loud piano sections, but saw nothing on the board. The pizz. strings with piano in the opening variant I think are unnecessary and produce a kind of distorted quality. I considered eliminating this sonority, but then did not in the end. | |
| What Love by dirigent | 8 months ago |
| A wonderful drama with a deeply touching reading and an understated but very necessary back-up--I really like the closing, fading sounds. Really effective collaboration! | |
| Study in Grey and Silver by soulima | 8 months ago |
| Some nice harmonic and sonorous shifts within the overarching mood. For example, at the moment when the piano enters maybe a third through. Enjoyed it! | |
| Dona Nobis Pacem [septet] by davidsmith99 | 8 months ago |
| It's very nice, and I think the whole sonority benefits greatly from the addition of winds in the latter half. Fine work! | |
| Re-Invention by byHeart | 8 months ago |
| What you say about the percussion may be so. I had even thought about removing the percussion in certain places, but then decided to leave it as is. In any case, thanks for your supportive comments! Tom |

| Gloria by dirigent | 8 months ago |
| Beautifully done, right down to the cathedral resonance. This must be one of shortest "Glorias" I've ever heard. Is this from a full Mass? Do the other movements go through the texts with such dispatch? | |
