I'm a big fan of Phillip Glass so I had to check you out after seeing your comment. This is great stuff and not really at all like Glass's work to my way of thinking because you have an original voice and rythm all your own. Really like this!

Thanks @A1K3M1 - your reactions mean a lot! It's always a thrill to know you are hearing things the way you do. And thanks for the comment on the mandalas... I have been going nuts with them for 4 years now! I can't believe it's been that long. If you get a chance, check out my Flickr account (I'm carlacryptic there) for the InkTober 2016 series (a different drawing each day in October 2016 based on a theme set by the InkTober folks) - so far I've done 17 (a bit late on yesterday's challenge 'escape'.

This is a lot of fun and I'm so glad to hear one of the results of your studio work. You guys work well together (my 2 cents). It's very 60's sounding to me, which is perfect for me today as I'm putting the finishing touches on my 60's art studio 'room' (all handmade miniatures - furniture, paintings, art supplies, shikibuton (a seat that folds out into a bed), little books which you actually have content you can read with a magnifying glass, and a hanging ball chair with crocheted cover and mandala covered pillows!) for a local art show I participate in once a year (in beautiful Point Reyes).

Graham says hello and that he thought it sounded pretty sophisticated, by the way.

The Leonard Cohen Fan Club's 'FAMOUS BLUE RAINCOAT' featuring lilichi by Wallace_Landreth 1 year ago
Hadn't heard this before and was just looking for Leonard Cohen songs here when I found this. It's a great cover, lovely mood and music you've all made. Lilichi , it's a great rendition from you... I'd never heard this song before but heard about it in the biography of Cohen I've been reading lately. What a wonderful way to be introduced to it! You guys are all great. (I'm jealous that you guys can get together in person but, OTOH, I'm so happy you can.)

TwF - All That I Can Do (Let Us Have A Walk) by MoorNoki 1 year ago
This is pure drama in the best sense of the word - I felt like the curtain came up on a bare stage with just one oblique light on the singer, not in the center of the stage but at an angle also. This builds powerfully from the beginning through to the end. Really wonderful touches throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

@A1K3M1 - I so agree - some kind of vacuum or some kind of pressure pulls us and pushes us towards things at times. I'm glad this was one of the places you were pushed or pulled to. smiley Whatever the reason, that's why we share our music, isn't it? To be heard or hear someone else at just the right moments. xox Carla

Thanks, too, Proliferousrose (wow, do you need a shorter nickname here at iComp!) - I was just reading your profile and feel we have a lot in common, even though our backgrounds aren't the same.
